Established in the year 2001, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (AJCE) as a first venture of the Iswarya Group is a premier private engineering college situated at Kottayam, Kerala. Recognized by the AKTU and approved by the AICTE, AJCE is the pioneer in the region to obtain NBA accreditation for primary departments. The college is also accredited By NAAC under U.G.C of the Government of India depending on the result of ‘A’ Grade accreditation. AJCE has fifteen departments in all, with over thirty-four programs and courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in four major streams.

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering Admission Process

AJCE follows the KEAM examination combination, through lateral entry, merit in the qualifying examination, and counseling. For BTech programmes, the candidates must qualify KEAM/ JEE Mains with at least 45 % of marks in PCM. Later entry to BTech is done, and it is done on production of a diploma qualification. For getting admission into MTech, the candidate needs to qualify in GATE or possess certain certifications such as AMIE / AMIET. Failure of which will lead to a candidate being denied MTech admission . Applicants seeking admission in LBS MCA need to qualify the LBS MCA Entrance Exam; for Integrated MCA, 50% marks in class 12 (45% for SC/ST/OBC). The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to PhD programme are UGC/CSIR-NET/ SLET/JRF and possessing a master’s degree with 6.5CGPA.Candidates are required to report to their counseling center along with admit card, fee and documents to be produced are: SSLC and 10+2 pass marks cards, MCA/MCA LE degree marks cards, transfer and migration certificate, character certificate, two recent color photographs.

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering has even completed the placement process in 2023 and got the placement for 250 students for different programs. The placements on course basis consisted of 127 students in MCA and 72 from CSE field. Substantial recruiters involved EY, CTS, Sutherland Global Service, TCS, Royal Enfield, HDFC Bank, IBM, Federal Bank and so on. Amal Jyothi College of Engineering Scholarships

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering has hence introduced Diocesan scholarships for the year 2022 for students who got admission under the management or government quota and produced the best results. Duration and scholarship amounts for CS/IT B.Tech students is mentioned below. KEAM rank <2000: ₹ 37,500 per sem, KEAM rank between >2000 and ≤ 5000: ₹ 33,250 and KEAM rank between >5000 and ≤ 10000: ₹ 2,500 For the B.Tech students in CH, FT and ECE categories it has been provided as ₹ 37500 for KEAM ranks below 2000, ₹ 33250 for KEAM ranks between 2001-5000 and ₹ 10000 for KEAM ranks 5001-10000. To continue receiving the scholarship, the students have to attend 90 percent classes compulsorily and maintain good discipline standard, and earn SGPA of 9 (for Category I), 8.5 (for Category II), 7.5 (for Category III) in all subjects of the semester. Likewise, the scholarship becomes void if a student switches from management quota to government quota without permission.
