Entrance Exams & Admissions :
To get into Amity Law School, Delhi , which is affiliated to GGSIPU , you need to take the CET exam which is held by GGSIPU. The eligibility criteria for getting into a Law college under GGSIPU is 50% in class 12 with English as an compulsory subject. The Cutoff of ALSD is the second highest on the list after GGSIPU main campus, mainly the cutoff of ALSD goes upto 1500 in general category.
Placements & Internships :
Though the college itself doesn't provided internships to the students but the Alumni's are always ready to help the students in the best way that they can. The placement rate of this college is not that good as the firm's that visit are there for the private Amity college's and only a few visit ALSD which is not enough to place all the 300 students or even 100 for that Matter. The salary provided to the new joiners is about 20 -25k per month which gradually increases with work experience and promotions.
Fees & Scholarships :
For the first year the fee is around 83k, and second year onwards the fee keeps on decreasing. As in my knowledge no scholarship is available to anyone. According to me loans are not needed as the fees is quite manageable.
Academics & Faculty :
Mainly the class timings are 9:30 to 1:35, which includes 4 classes of 55 minutes each and there is a 5 minute break after every class and a 15 minutes break after the 2nd class. The lunch break is of just 30 minutes after which 3 PSDA classes are scheduled, which in total makes the college timings from 9:30 am to 4:35 pm. The faculty is good and teach everything in detail. They are always ready to help out the students in anyway that they can. The college has a very strict learning experience and doesn't allows the students to participate in any co-curricular activities by not giving them OD's for the same which is frustrating a lot of times. The college is very strict about the attendance, and a student has to maintain an attendance of 75% else there are high chances of that student getting debarred.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
The college doesn't has a hostel of its own but the Amity University has various hostels in its campus but the students from GGSIPU have to go through a lot of procedure to get a hostel room, instead a student can live in a PG as there are various PG's located right outside the Gate No 2 of the university campus. The PG's available are of every range, from cheap to expensive, the average cost is about 11 to 15K per month which is quite affordable. The university campus has a lot of food junctions like canteens in almost every block, Domino's, Subway, Dosa Plaza, CCD, etc, each meal can cost you around 300 per person. The classrooms, Labs, libraries have proper air conditioning, and are in a very nice state. Though WiFi is available in the college but it doesn't work properly.
Clubs & Associations :
There are various Clubs and Societies for the students to get into and are quite active too. The main fest of ALSD is Anugoonj which is held at GGSIPU main campus in Dwarka, but the college won't give a holiday to the students to go and attend it so it's like the college doesn't has any fest. There are various sports teams which play for the college but whenever they go out to play the have to struggle a lot with attendance issues as the college alot of times refuses to give OD's. The college life here is all about studying, no extra activities.
