Gargi College is on Siri Fort Road in New Delhi. It is a women’s college affiliated to Delhi University and is one of the leading South Campus Colleges under Delhi University. The public college founded in 1967 offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes under different streams like arts, commerce as well as science and has separate departments for the courses. Gargi College is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade.

The institute is also approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE). Among other rankings, Gargi College is ranked 31st place among colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) India 2024.

• For maths, candidates must have 45% marks in 12th standard and 50% in Mathematics.
• For botany, zoology and microbiology, candidates must have completed the 12th standard with 55% in physics, chemistry and biology.

• For physics and chemistry, candidates must have completed 12th standard with a 55% average in physics, chemistry and maths and 50% in English.

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a 60% score.
