Shaheed Bhagat Singh College was established in 1967 and is affiliated to the University of Delhi. The college is a NAAC accredited college with 'A' grade and takes its name from one of India's greatest freedom fighters 'Bhagat Singh'. The college has a completely computerized library catering to all the needs of its students and has upwards of 86,000 books and a large number of journals. The library has a seating capacity of 180 seats. A large number of committees are set up with a faculty in charge and students are encouraged to join different committees based on their interests.  

SBSC also has a big sports ground with a Cricket pitch, Basketball, Lawn Tennis and Volleyball court etc. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College also has vibrant alumni who have contributed to development in the fields of Management, Culture and Society. The college also has a Medical Room with a first aid kit and a nurse. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Admissions are offered in the fields of Commerce, Science and Arts.

Commerce:

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Commerce. The Commerce course at SBSC is highly acclaimed and it is one of the top 10 colleges for Commerce under the University of Delhi. It is also the largest department in the college. The department has also formed a Finance and Investment Society to improve financial literacy among its students by organising Workshops, Seminars, Inter College Quiz and Debate Competitions. 

Arts and Humanities:

SBSC offers an undergraduate course in Bachelor of Arts with multiple specialisations. The Economics Department conducts a fest every year called Econotize. The Department of Geography at SBSC is one of the best courses offered among the colleges under DU. The Mathematics department organises a yearly festival called 'Ganitam' which is conducted to bring out the creativity of the students and the themes are related to Mathematics. The department has a Computer lab and Library dedicated to Mathematics.

• Candidates seeking admission at SBSC have to register themselves online by logging on to the Delhi University website.
• The candidates must check the cut-off list for respective courses posted by Shaheed Bhagat Singh College to be eligible for the courses offered by the college.
• Candidates who have cleared the cut-off score need to log into DU website and select the course of their choice.
• The college will follow the guidelines set by Delhi University for the Calculation of the best of four subjects percentage for admission.
• The candidates will then have to take the print out of the form and get all documents verified at SBSC to enrol into the desired course.
