Placements & Internships : Yes, there is a vast majority of internationally renowned companies that set foot in the university to recruit fresh talent, such as Amazon, airtel, Ranbaxy, etc. However, cashing in on the opportunity of being a part of such firms entirely depends upon the student. 60-70 percent of the batch gets placed from the campus placement and in which they usually fall under the salary bracket of 3.5-6.5 lakhs per annum which can be increased or decreased depending upon the situation and the people involved.

Academics & Faculty : The daily classes commence from 9:15 am to 5:15 pm, with each of the classes having a duration of 55 minutes and varying from the courses, the lunch break is provided, and also there is a half-day, once a week (mostly on Thursdays). The method and quality of teaching vary from the faculty assigned to the students, these two play a big factor in the quality of the education. The overall experience of the college on a personal level is like a roller coaster ride on a philosophical level and on a professional level, it is a great opportunity to create a network and use the university's facilities for self-improvement.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are multi-storeyed buildings for the accommodation of hostels for the boarding students and the fee can range anywhere from Rs 85,000 to Rs 1, 30, 000 depending upon the availability of AC. The food quality is good and could cost somewhere around 50 Rs per meal. The quality of the labs and other key infrastructure is top-notch.

Clubs & Associations : The student societies are a great way of socializing and creating a network along with getting exposure from the people of vast backgrounds. The main festivals include AYF (Amity youth fest), Sangathan ( Amity mini Olympics), and many more. Life in college is entirely what one makes of it. It could be a boon as well as a bane.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The entrance exam is either an interview (for bachelor of science programs) or a written offline exam (for bachelor of technology), and the exam, as well as the interview, is something to be prepared for. My course is BTech+ Mtech Biotechnology, so I had to take the entrance and it had a certain difficulty standard. The breather here for the 12th pass students is that you don't have to score ridiculously high in the board exams to meet the eligibility criteria for taking admission here. 65-70% is the minimum aggregate. The typical cut-offs in college are 55-65%.

Fees & Scholarships : Amity University, Noida Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 2,40,000 per year. Students who scored above 85% in the board exams get 50 percent scholarship. However, this also applies to the students scoring above 8.5 GPA in their academic years. The university has a tie-up with the Oriental Bank of Commerce, which makes it easier to avail of an educational loan for the student but the requirement of the documents is high in numbers and that is an aspect that needs to be taken care of.
