During their course of study, Summer Internships and Training are the integral part of the various programmes at AIHM Haldwani. It provides students with an opportunity to get themselves exposed to real world challenges and real industry operations. Internships and Industrial training are provided at various companies/industries varying from 6 to 22 weeks, and under supervision and guidance of respective industry personnel. The faculty mentors carry out monitoring and evaluation regularly. The AIHM campus placement drives are organized by the institute, by inviting various companies for the student internships or placements for jobs. The CTPD also encourages students to have their pre-assessment done through online testing softwares. Various Career Orientation Programmes are conducted through CTPD where experts are invited to orient students about industry expectations. Additional workshops and conferences are organised within a calendar year to provide students an opportunity to develop direct interaction with the industry experts, and have Mock Interviews and Group Discussions to showcase their presentation skills.
The various CTPD activities are displayed on Notice Boards or e-Notice Boards and are also forwarded to the students via their ERP login, SMS and emails. The students who have minimum attendance of 60% in both theory and practical in every semester are eligible to sit in the campus interviews. Students below the 60% attendance need to take necessary approvals from the Director of the Institute but any student below 50% attendance will not be eligible for registration with CTPD in any case.
