The Amrita School of Medicine was established in 2002 and is located in Kochi. The courses provided by the college are approved by the Medical Council of India [MCI]. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] and Ministry of Human Resource and Development [MHRD] with grade ‘A’. Amrita School of Medicine has incorporated state-of-the-art educational facilities that meet international standards.

The campus of the school consists of the laboratories, lecture halls, and a well-furnished central library complete with a collection of the latest editions of international and Indian medical books and journals. Amrita Medical College admission is done through the National Level exams. The college building consists of a 12 storey tower with a total floor area of 120,000 sq. ft. The school also has a hospital that has an additional floor area of 1,100,000 sq.ft. ASM Kochi admissions are done on a merit basis and cut off marks obtained by the students.

It also has an Anatomy Museum which has all the latest teaching devices and elaborate models detailing the different parts of the human body. The school offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Medical Science and a five-and-a-half-year program in Medicine. The course involves both theory classes and practical sessions.

Amrita School Of Medicine MBBS:

The MBBS course offered by ASM has a course duration of four and a half years and one year of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI). The admission to MBBS is done based on the centralized list issued by the Medical Counseling Committee(MCC) after the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham at Kochi campus comprises of Amrita Institute of Medical Science (AIMS) along with the School of Medical Science, Centre for NanoSciences, School of Dentistry, College of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and School of Allied Sciences. All the expenses including tuition fees, accommodation and all travel expenses should be met by the students. The Study Abroad Courses also has the possibility of fully-funded Masters or Ph.D. programs.

In Amrita School of Medicine, students are provided a safe campus and attach great importance to the nature of lifestyle on the campus. Each student is provided with a cot, a table, a chair, a cupboard along with the following facilities.
