I get a stipend from Central government as I am a nanomedicine pg student.
But it's hard to meet all expenses including annual fees.
There are no such companies who hire students directly from our college but,our college Amrita center for nanomedicine has self-absorbed some of the students for further researches.
The average salary figure here for freshers is around Rs 240000/-.
Alumni network is not that much strong as our house started only before some recent years.
Academics & Faculty :
I am Anitha Augustine doing my M.tech in Nanomedicine in Amrita School of Medicine.
I am proud to be a student in 'Amrita institute' which is an institute owing all its respect & dedication to each student, they teach students by making them understand each concept in learning rather than spoon feeding.
Class timings are very convenient for students, lab session is conducted on every Monday afternoon.
The most advantageous part as an amrita student is the teachers are like our guiding mentors they are more like our friends who support us with their full effort to minimize our burden in studies.
They make us love our subjects by helping each and everyone in class.
They are all working as scientists & do teach us by finding time in their busy schedule without any complaints but with a bright smile on their face which drag all of the students to listen to each and every word of them.we are lucky here to get this kind of teachers who are so down to earth.
Our teachers always insist us to be humble and God fearing. They are the true living examples of success for us.I love my college.
I am sure that by passing out from this college, I can fulfill my dreams.
I will become a better scientist & importantly I will become a good human being .
Fees & Scholarships :
My course fee is Rs 2.18 lakhs per annum including the hostel fees at Amrita.
As I am a single girl child I get Indira Gandhi scholarship for single girl child.
The gate qualified students will get a scholarship amount but unfortunately, I am not a part of it.
The average number of students getting this scholarship is less than 50% in our class.
As we are Mtech students in Nanomedicine ......we have to meet a big amount for textbooks, projects, transportation & other amenities.
I am a middle-class student and my papa passed away 11 years before I found it little hard to meet the expenses.student loans are available for students but we have to repay it after getting a job or after 4 years whichever is less
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
2 hostels one for boys and one for girls is available at ASM Kochi.

The quality of classroom, labs is all excellent.
We got a 2 story building library where we can access even late night.
We got an e-library also.
Wifi is provided by the college but we can access it only during our project time.
Clubs & Associations :
The life in the college, in general, is calm, pleasant & safe.
We have so many places to Simply sit & relax at ASM Kochi.
But as we are post-graduate students, student societies, association in campus is not that much active.
We have got an annual day, sports day, cultural activities, onam, Xmas celebrations, excursions all are really helpful to develop our extra curricular activities & for relaxation.
