ABS Delhi Result is based on the internal and external evaluation process. The weightage of internal assessment is 40%, and external assessment (semester-end exams) is 60% of the total marks. Internal assessment includes evaluation of student’s attendance, assignments, classroom tests, projects and presentations. At the end of the semester, letter grades from ‘A to F’ are awarded to the students based on their overall performance in the internal and end-term examinations. The minimum grade required to pass in each subject is a ‘D’ grade, and students have to secure at least 50% of marks to be promoted to the next academic year.
Students interested in rechecking or a re-evaluation of their evaluated answer transcripts for theory papers may collect and fill the application forms for revaluation/rechecking/internal revaluation from the institute office and submit the same to the Controller of Examinations within 10 days from the date of announcement of the result on the notice board, along with the requisite revaluation fee.
Apart from scrutiny and retotalling, if unable to write the examination in case of medical cases or other emergency circumstances, the student will be allowed to write ‘Make-up’ examinations.
Also, those students debarred from the examination on account of attendance, unfair practices or disciplinary action will have to write the ‘Re-appear’ examination. Special make-up classes are conducted for these students to help them prepare for the re-examinations. Students who receive a grade of ‘E or F’ will be writing supplementary exams of their failed papers, along with their next terminal examinations. The fees for the make-up/reappear/supplementary exams have to be paid when registration for these exams. Students will be notified about their re-examination results by the institute.
