The Campus      

The campus is endowed with vibrant greenery. The serene ambience motivates students to intellectual pursuits. Moreover, the most beautiful and eco-friendly campus spreads over an area of 42 acres. Away from the claustrophobic atmosphere of the city, the campus provides immense built-up space with the state-of-the-art infra-structural facilities to cater the needs of the budding technocrats.

The Institute has air-conditioned Seminar Hall, Training and Placement Cell along with well furnished Conference Rooms, modern Language Lab, well equipped, well ventilated and highly spacious Classrooms, Department Specific Labs, separate building for Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering Depts, spacious Drawing Hall, Common Room with indoor games and gym facilities, well stocked Library along with a vivacious Reading Hall, Nationalized Banking facility, Health Care, Canteen, Administrative Office etc. to meet the requirements of the future engineers.               

Hostel Facilities              

The hostel campus is well-designed and covers an area of 31 acres. Separate hostels for boys and girls, along with staff quarters, are located in the vicinity of the BUIE campus, and available for the students on ‘first come first served’ basis. Staying in hostels, the students get a homely environment. Safety and security measures are very strong in all the 4 hostels for boys and girls. Full time wardens are there for Girls’ and Boys’ hostels. Medical facilities are available round the clock along with car facility in case of emergency. Greater impetus is laid towards maintaining hygienic conditions and healthy meals to resident students. A Guest House is also arranged for the accommodation of the guardians and ex-students. Residential quarters for the faculty members and non-teaching staffs are also situated within the hostel campus.

Central Library

In addition to the departmental libraries the institute has a well-resourced central library established in a separate building. The salient features of the central library:

Computer Centre

The Institute Computer Centre is a central facility for the use of the students as well as faculty and staff members of any discipline of the institute for computational purposes. It is situated in a central place, on the first floor of the Central Library, for the ease of access to anyone interested to use it. The computers in the Centre are connected to the Campus wide Network, and with 24X7 internet facility. The centre also caters requirement of all online examinations and aptitude test practice sessions.
