Dr B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi [AUD] was established in the year 2007 in Delhi by the Government of the NCT of Delhi. The University is named after an Indian reformer Dr B.R. Ambedkar, who believed that education was a key cut social slavery. Ambedkar University Delhi admissions are done on the basis of qualifying examination results.

AUD presently has campuses in Karampura and, Lodhi Road, Kashmere Gate is affiliated to  UGC, AIU and is broadly structured into Centres and Schools, it is is a public University with a campus based on research, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in the disciplines of humanities and social sciences.

The University, through learning-teaching, engagement and research with society, offers a platform to develop insights which can benefit the evolution of more inclusive and innovative public policies.
