Hostel

• Bharathiar University Coimbatore has 10 hostels for accommodation that are named after poets. A separate dedicated research scholar hostel for men and women functions throughout the year, unlike summer closures. 
• There is also an international Bharathiar University hostel to cater to overseas needs with elevated facilities other than standard amenities.  
• Initially, the undergraduates and postgraduate students are accommodated from double-occupancy to four/room style accommodation. 
• Wi-Fi facilities are available for hostelites, and each Bharathiar University hostel has an office room with a dedicated Supervisor managing the daily routines of the hostel.
• The Bharathiar University infrastructure includes a garden and a newspaper room in the hostels for students to access anytime of the day.

Fitness Centre

• The Bharathiar University infrastructure has a fitness centre situated in the basement of the school of the distance education building. The facility is open to all staff, students, and outsiders. A separate fitness centre facility is also available for women. 
• Bharathiar University has qualified fitness instructors available for men and women in the morning and evening on all days except Sundays to guide the persons.
• The centre mainly focuses on maintaining physical fitness, weight reduction, and bodybuilding. 
• Modern weight machines like nine station gym for upper extremities and six stations multigym for lower extremities for pull-down, peck deck, arm curl, and abdominal crunch are available for exercising various body parts. 

Library

• The Arignar Anna Central Library of Bharathiar University Coimbatore covers an area of 11,230 sq. fts. 
• The Bharathiar University library can accommodate around 330 students and has over 1,90,570 volumes covering all disciplines. 
• It has subscribed to 136 national and international journals and 10 leading newspapers. A photocopying facility is also available inside the library. 

Canteen: The Bharathiar University infrastructure offers a canteen, located behind the administrative building, offering quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. It has spacious dining halls for students and staff and functions on all working days. 

Bank Facility: Bharathiar University infrastructure includes a Bank of India Branch, again located behind the administrative building. The bank provides all routine banking services to the students and staff. It also has two ATMs installed on the campus grounds for the benefit and easy access.

Post Office: The Bharathiar University campus has a post office that offers all routine postal services like mail, stamp selling, registered post, and speed post. The post office also offers payment banking services and aadhar-based ATM services.

Medical Facility: The Bharathiar University infrastructure offers a health centre that is next to the teachers' hostel. The teachers, students, and staff (Regular, Contract, and Daily Wages) are provided medical consultation in case of any medical emergencies or accidents.

Transport Facility: Bharathiar University has internal campus buses that connect hostels to various parts of the campus at hourly intervals. Students can ride their bikes, and bicycles or walk around the campus. However, students are not permitted to ride four-wheelers.
