Campus Life

The Institute attaches equal importance to extracurricular activities along with academic curriculum of the students. This includes the all round performance of the students including activities like essay writing competitions, declamation contests, debates, inter- and intra-class quiz competitions, indoor games like carom, chess  in both male and female categories as well as outdoor sports activities in the disciplines of volley ball, discus throw, shot put, badminton and athletics. It is not an understatement that we have some of the players playing at the national level as well.

Hostels & Staff Residences

There are separate buildings for hostels having 12,000 Sq. Ft. buildup area. Hostels for girls with full facility of common room, mess etc.

Medical Facility And Hospital

• Free medical Facilities are available to all students in the college premises itself.
• BHOJIA Group has its own Dental Hospital in the premises. Every type of treatment like major surgeries, ceramic teeth, gum treatment, restorative treatment, Orthodontics are conducted by the teaching staff. The hospital section has a full-fledged community service department with fully equipped Mobile Van having modern dental equipment attached to it. The college is organizing camps at village and schools covering remote areas as a regular feature. The medical camps are also being held in the hospital campus. Patients get the benefit of x-ray, U/S, medicines in all the routine camps.
• The General hospital has facilities for medical & surgical outpatient treatment. We have further to add that our general hospital has fully equipped wards for indoor treatment of patients. Diagnostic and treatment charges at the hospital are fixed on charitable & humanitarian basis which is reasonable and affordable as compared to open market. All facilities are available like Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, E.C.G., Ultrasound & X-Ray and DOT Center for the tuberculosis patients. Most ultra modern O.T.'s (Operation Theaters) are available for surgery as well as for eye's operations in the hospital premises.

Transport

Transport facilities are available to students for hospital, training, campus tours, community Services etc. The College is connected with Panchkula, Chandigarh, and Mohali through college transport

Building

The infrastructure is dynamic in nature catering to the demands of the various curricula running in the Institute. The architecture of the main spacious three-storeyed building boasts of half a dozen lecture halls and a dozen laboratories to impart in-depth knowledge of the modules of the curricula. The building also houses a conference hall of capacity of 100, separate common rooms for both boys and girls besides separate offices for faculty members. The scenic beauty of the Institute is enhanced by sprawling lush green lawns.

Library

The Institute has a 1900 Sq. ft. library equipped with a reference section reading room and space for approximately 150 candidates at a particular time which caters to the need of the academicians i.e. students and the faculty members.

Our Endeavor to achieve excellence in providing quality education is further accentuated by our library housing more than 431 titles 1068 books. The Institute has a subscription of 16 periodicals so as to keep students abreast of latest happenings, discoveries and ongoing research in their mother field of Biotechnology. The library proposes to subscribe a biotechnology journal of Elsevier Publications. The library will thus have online access to all the journals of the said Publications.

A computer with Broadband Internet facility is also provided in the Library which meets the demand of the students to access the online available free journals. Software for maintenance of Library Books has been installed in the Library.

Laboratories

Laboratories essential for imparting hands-on-experience to students have been facilitated with the presence of laboratories dedicated to particular fields of study viz Chemistry Lab, Botany Lab, Cell & Molecular Biology Lab, Biochemistry Lab, Physics Lab, Microbiology Lab supplemented with Media & Sterilization Room, Plant tissue culture lab, Animal tissue culture lab.

A Central Instrumental Facility provides specialized instruments for conduction of various experiments under controlled conditions like ELISA plate reader, Thermocycler, Double beam UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Deep Freezer, Millipore filtration assembly etc.

Special emphasis has been given to develop the research and scientific aptitude of the students. One research laboratories have been dedicated to the students pursuing their projects in their curricula.

Computer and Bioinformatics Laboratory with inbuilt Pentium 4, Dual core and Core 2 Duo processors and multimedia support.

The lab provides internet facility with 4 Mbps broadband line for the accessing of different journals and scientific communications on internet. All the terminals are connected by LAN to a printer. E-mail facility to all students and faculty members.

Lecture Theatres

Well - lit lecture theatres, supplemented with conventional as well as ultra modern teaching aids, situated on each floor provide a congenial environment for stress-free learning experience to a strength of 50 students in a class.

Conference Room

A conference hall of capacity 100 permits the conduction of conferences/ seminars/ symposia in the Institute. It is essential for providing a platform for discussing the research activities with the masses

Play Ground

Outdoor activities like badminton. Volley ball, throw ball and athletic meets are held every year as sports round-up for the students.
