Infrastructure Facilities at Bidhannagar College:

Bidhannagar College has a state of the art infrastructure. The campus is located in Salt Lake. Surrounded by IT Parks and industries the college provides a perfect platform for students towards co-operate exposure. Some of the facilities offered by the college are listed below:

Environmental Club:

This club makes sure that the college uses natural resources like solar energy, rainwater harvesting, etc. The students and faculty members run the club. The college campus is equipped with solar panels that generate electricity through sunlight. 

Water Harvesting: 

This project is run by the students from the Botany department as well as the faculty member's guidance. The team has constructed a rainwater harvesting tank and the water collected is used for gardening and cleaning purposes. 

Plantation:

Bidhannagar College has a small area for plantation. Garden staff word hard to maintain the plantation. The college organizes a plantation drive on a regular basis. The medical garden of the college, which is known as "Parasar Udyan" is maintained by the Botany department. 

Carbon Neutrality:  

Over the years the college has tried its best to maintain the level of carbon neutrality by following some measures. Some of them are listed below:

• The lights used in the campus emit very low levels of carbon.
• The college plants saplings within the premises as well as in the garden, which reduces the amount of toxins in the atmosphere.

Hazardous Waste Management:

• The college disposes of chemical and biological waste, which includes radioactive elements.
• The pathogenic waste disposed of by the microbiology department.
• The college also takes care of PWD waste.  

Library:

The library at the college campus is known as a knowledge center. The magazines, journals which are related to the library has a rich collection of books, magazine, journal, and encyclopedia relate dot science and arts background. There are more than 55,000 books available in the library.

Located on the sixth floor of the building, the library provides a peaceful environment for readers. It is well lit and spacious. It is also open to digital access and students can access computers for browsing and gathering online information. With a seating capacity of 50 people, the library has a separate space for seminars.

Computer Training Center:

The main motive of this facility is to provide basic information about computer exposure and to help students develop and enhance computer skills. The classes scheduled are from Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Canteen:

The college provides healthy and hygenic food at a very affordable price.  The cuisine food served in the canteen are decided by the college administrative authorities. The college also has a plan to set up a cafeteria in the newly constructed building.

Sports & Gymnasium:

The college focuses on overall performance in both academic and co-curricular activities as well. The college has a multi-facility gymnasium at the college. Students can get access to the gym after college hours. 

annual sports day is celebrated at the college. All students and faculty members take part in each and every event as per their interest. Sports like football, basketball, volleyball, and other games are played in the college ground. The ground is spread over in an area of over 7200 sq. ft.
