Central Library

The central library system at CGI provides their services to their students, staff and faculty members for updating their knowledge, awareness, supporting the research, and teaching learning activities. The Library at CGI is more like integrated Knowledge Resource Centers that are stocked with over 20000 books in total, periodicals, references, journals, CD-ROMs covering all aspects of academic studies and research material. The library is fully air-conditioned and provides a peaceful environment and ambiance for the student to study with concentration. The knowledge base of the library is updated regularly in various format by way of adding new literature in the form of text books, reference books, reports, proceeding, abstracts & indexes, encyclopedias, data books, standard Journals & data base on CD-ROM. Apart from adding the new literature the basic literature is also procured for the new Programmes along with current one.

Learning Resources Center offer aids like maps, CD’s and other Audio Visual Facilities for the convenience of students. For all first year students, the library provides book bank facility College.

Our library is equipped with an advanced library software like DELNET which helps students to look for e-journals, ‘Monitoring Software’ which helps the student to issue books much more conveniently.

Labs & Workshop

Workshop

The college has a well-equipped workshop where students learn about basic manufacturing methods. Every student prepares jobs in all the shops with his/her own hands under the guidance of experienced faculty and technicians. The workshop has the following sections:

• Electrical and Electronics Workshop

Physics Laboratory

The institute has a well-equipped spacious and ventilated Physics laboratory with state of the art instruments conforming with the latest technology which caters to the requirements of experiments to be performed. It has a proper dark room to conduct the prescribed experiments related to “OPTICS”.

Chemistry Laboratory

Chemistry lab has a capacity of 30 students to work at a time. The laboratory is equipped with all the necessary equipments and each student is provided with a separate gas burner, burette and pipette (for titration experiments) at his/her table.

Computer Centre

To facilitate the use of the latest information technology in institute’s teaching, learning, research and administration; to provide an excellent network environment that facilitates the access and exchange of information; to put innovation in  technology transfer to assist the Institute in Its  mission; to enable faculty, staff and students to use the computer and network resources  effectively and efficiently and  aim to provide the best quality IT services in the region, the Computer Centre at CGI continued to re-engineer the process of its service operations for increased productivity and better quality. The computer centre consists of over350 computer sets that provide computing facilities of the latest machines linked to a Wide range of software, communication and print services.

Centre of Computing and Networking (CCN) is a central facility, established in 2007 which caters to the needs of academic departments and various sections of the institute; CCN is housed in a separate building. Centre has one of the best Infrastructures in the region In terms of computing facilities, Internet facilities and Campus Wide Networking. Centre IS well equipped with the latest machines viz. Sun Servers, Pentium machines (core2Duo and AMD), etc. A heterogeneous Intranet Network of around 1100 nodes under different OS like Unix, Windows and Novell Netware is setup and maintained by the CCN. Centre has dedicated 8 Mbps leased line.

Security

The institute has employed round-the clock security stationed on campus. Apart from providing the security of the campus it also renders its services to provide all possible support to the students for their safe and comfortable living.

Power Backup

CGI is providing uninterrupted power supply to the entire campus including hostels.

Driniking Water

A central RO system supplies safe water to the campus.

Air Conditioning

All classrooms, laboratories etc. are centrally air conditioned.

Hostel

To provide students with a home away from home, the institute has a wonderful hostel for boys and girls with essential requirement of safety, security and privacy.

We provide a pleasant environment to the students, so that they can focus on their academics and over all development with a free mind. The hostel has separate accommodation for boys and girls with a capacity of 350 students.

It’s  a home away from home and has all the facilities required for comfortable living and academic pursuit.

Transportation

CGI College has fleet of buses for students and staff from important points of Bharatpur (Jawahar Nagar, Sewar.,Hiradas, Railway Station, Krishna Nagar, Rajender Nagar, Saras, Pushp Vatika etc.) covering almost entire city at nominal charges

A teacher coordinator is appointed for each bus, to ensure the safety and security of the students.

Public Transportation of autos is also another best alternative to reach campus.

Sports

CGI celebrates annual sports week where each and every student is encouraged to participate, sports officer is always there for the guidance. Intra college sports tournaments are also organized at regular Intervals under the guidance of trained  professional.

Medical Facilities

Medical facilities are provided to the staff & students of the institute. The College has a primary medical treatment facilities equipped with a 24 hrs. doctor facilities.

Gymnasium

Gymnasium facilities are provided to the staff & students of the institute. The College has a gym with modern machine.
