Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is a public university situated in Kota. Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) was established in 2006 by the Government of Rajasthan to provide excellent quality technical education in the state. Rajasthan Technical University was established on the campus of University College of Engineering, Kota (formerly Engineering College, Kota), located on Rawatbhata Road, about 14 km from Kota Railway Station and 10 km from Kota Bus Stand.The university currently affiliates 158 colleges offering 7 courses with a student population of 1.5 lac + and an experienced faculty of 7253. 

The University offers almost all the disciplines related to technical education including Bachelor of Technology, Master of Technology, Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications, and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. It provides quality education imparting technicalities at the topmost level in various fields of study. The Hon'ble Governor of Rajasthan His Excellency Shri Kalraj Mishra is the Chancellor of the University.

RTU Courses & fees

Rajasthan Technical University offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs including B.Tech, B.Arch, BBA,BHMCT, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA.

Rajasthan Technical University Kota Fee Structure

The University offers almost all the disciplines related to technical education including Bachelor of Technology, Master of Technology, Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications, and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The details of the RTU Fee is available on the official website of the university. Some of the course fees are mentioned below.

• The annual fee for the course B.Tech is INR 1,20,000.
• The annual fee structure of Master of Management Technology[MAM]and Master of Technology[M.tECH.] is INR 1,61,500.
• For Ph. D. candidate has to remit a course fee of INR 67,101
• The course fee of management courses like Master of Management and Master of Business Administration is INR 3,85,00 and INR 1,21,00 respectively. 

Rajasthan Technical University Kota Scholarships

Rajasthan Technical University provides various scholarships which are considered as student welfare schemes such as merit based scholarship (University) Level, AICTE scholarship. For better details find below the details:-

• Scholarship from the North-South Foundation of the USA is offered every year to the students.
• The students having JEE Mains rank within 10% of all qualifying students and above 80% marks in 12th are eligible to apply along with a prescribed limit on the annual income of the parents.
• RTU scholarship is offered to students considering their financial condition.
• The first rank holder of each branch of engineering from all the four years will be awarded a scholarship.
• More than 400 students get RTU Scholarships under various government schemes every year.
• About 200 students get financial assistance from various NGOs and other organizations.

RTU Kota Placement

To equip the students with skills to meet the challenges while facing their placement interviews RTU formed a dedicated Training and Development Centre. Some of the features of the center are mentioned below.

• RTU organizes recruitment drives with renowned business organizations from all over the country, within and outside the campus.
• The Placement Cell collaborates with industry for live projects, research work, workshops, or any academic alliance, industrial visits.
• The Department of Training and Placement arranges for on the job Practical Training and Placement services to the students of Engineering and Management.
• The Department organizes awareness lectures for ICS, IES, and other competitive examinations, higher studies Entrepreneurship, and direct jobs.
• The top recruiters are Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, LG, Tech Mahindra, Havells, Adani, TATA, Gammon, Honda, etc.
• The undergraduate students of all engineering programs are required to take up Practical Training for a period of 30 working days.
• Rajasthan Technical University Placement Cell provides soft skills training to its students and is also equipped with excellent infrastructure to support the placement process.

Rajasthan Technical University Kota Infrastructure Facilities

RTU Kota has a campus area of 355 acres with an excellent infrastructure providing an encouraging environment for the budding talents. The main academic area consists of department wise academic blocks, workshops, and well-equipped laboratories catering to the curricular and research needs.

• RTU has a unique library that consists of an expansive collection of coursebooks, research references e-journals, and a lot more to supporting all aspects of studies and research.
• RTU has a well-furnished and well- classroom with wifi access.
• The University Library is an integrated knowledge resource center supporting all aspects of studies and research.
• The library has a total of 97440 coursebooks, 43 national journals & 9975 e-journals.
• The college provides 3 indoor badminton halls, a football ground, cricket ground, basketball & volleyball court to the students.
  Spacious, amphitheater-style Classrooms.

RTU Eligibility Criteria

RTU Kota offers B.Tech, M.Tech Management, Architecture, and Computer Applications courses under different schools. All these courses have different eligibility criteria and selection procedures. The admission depends on the student’s past academic records and entrance score. The eligibility criteria for RTU courses are mentioned below:

RTU Admissions

Rajasthan Technical University admission takes place through a centralized admission process. RTU admission to the BTech program is carried out through the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP). Admission in MTech and MBA is taken through Centralized Admission for MTech/MArch (CAM) and Rajasthan Management Admission Process (RMAP), respectively, and in the doctorate program through RTU DAT (Doctoral Admission Test).

• The candidate can apply online on the official website of the university.
• The candidates are advised to obtain their eligibility before applying for the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process [REAP].
• The applicants will be evaluated based on scores in various competitive examinations.
• JEE Mains candidates will be preferred for B.Tech admissions.
• MBA admission is offered based on a valid score in Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test (RMAT) or CMAT
• For the MCA program, RTU conducts Rajasthan Master in Computer Applications Test (RMCAAT).
• To enroll students for Ph.D. programs, RTU-DAT 2019 is conducted by the University.
• At the time of reporting in the allotted institute, the candidates will have to show all original documents, certificates, and receipt of registration cum application form fee along with a provisional seat allotment letter generated by the REAP web portal. 

Rajasthan Technical University Kota Hostel Details

The  RTU Facilities are available on the campus. Some of the features of the hostels are given below.

• The Rajasthan Technical University provides a separate hostel for boys and girls.
• There are 5 boys hostel an 2 girls hostels with a capacity to occupy 850 boys and 250 girls.

North South Foundation Scholarships are offered to meritorious and needy students based on their performance in JEE Mains and 12th class marks. DCM Rewards are given to the top-performing students in each branch of engineering. In addition to these, there are various government scholarships and NGO-based financial assistance programs available for eligible students every year. ONLINE applications are invited for AICTE scholarship under the Two Scholarship Schemes mentioned below -
