The Central Library for DSI, started in 1979. The primary objective of the library is to serve the information needs of faculty and students community of DSI. It acts as a center for the collection of resources. Predominantly related to all subjects which are in DSI. Our aims to develop a comprehensive collection of information that is useful for both staff and students of our institute. It also ensures that information resources are acquired and organized so as to meet the present and future users information needs. The library is kept open from 9.00am to 12.01am (Midnight) and closes only on public holidays. The entire library block is well equipped with proper lighting and seating arrangements for more than 900 students at a time. An excellent ambience is created for the readers to utilize the library facilities.
Other Facilities
The facilities consists of a computer lab, an integrated wireless Campus, student activity areas such as lounge and snack bar, five classrooms of varying seating capacities, three conference halls exclusively for executive development programmes, placement office, Admission office and Admission department.
DSCMIT has always believed that information technology forms an integral part of Management. Every student on campus at DSCMIT is equipped with a state of the art Laptop, which enables him/her to connect to the digital nervous system of the DSCMIT’sknowledge base. DSCMIT’s intranet captures all that is learnt in the institution and disseminates the same to all its stake holders on demand.
The lab at DSCMIT is equipped to handle intensive computing applications and is equipped with the latest hardware both for client and server computing. The Wi-Fi infrastructure ensures that each stakeholder on campus is able to connect to our digital nervous system from anywhere.
The Information center subscribes to over 48 journals/ periodicals, contains around 3199 Books and has an extensive collection of reports and projects. The Information center system contains the record of all books and journals. Faculty & students can access online journals- current as well as retrospective ones through the electronic database.
The hostel is located inside the campus surrounded with lavish garden, extra curricular facilities such as gym, Basket ball court, Tennis court, Foot ball ground, Volley ball court so on & so forth.
The students are housed in an International Hostel which is of a super premium class. The inmates have been provided with luxurious comforts in their typical rooms settings. Arrangements have been made toseparately house girls and boys. A well- organized boarding programme is available to students to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Charges towards housing and meals can be obtained separately from the Hall of Admissions, Administrative Office, depending of individual preferences.
A Doctor is always available round the clock. Besides, facilities exist to take students suffering from medical emergencies to nursing homes/ hospitals for treatment. 340 bed hospital which will take care of the students and staff health care is located on campus.
