Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology was established in the year 1980 by Panchajanya Vidyapeeta Welfare Trust (PVPWT) Bangalore. PVPWT was founded by Late Sri. M. H. Jayaprakash Narayan. The Institution was started with three AICTE approved undergraduate (UG) programs in Departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). Later UG programs in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Instrumentation Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering and Medical Electronics, were also inducted. In addition, the institution currently also holds 14 research centers recognized by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The college has grown manifold with a total student intake of 1285 pursuing courses in ten undergraduate, eleven postgraduate programs (PG) of engineering including MBA, MCA and M. Tech by research/ Doctoral Programmes. The Institution is aided by the Government of Karnataka, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. The college vision is to create dynamic, resourceful, adept and innovative technical professionals to meet global challenges. The college mission is to offer state-of-the-art undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in the fields of Engineering, Technology, and Management and to generate new knowledge by engaging faculty and students in research, development, and innovation.  

DAIT  Admission 2024

Admission to DAIT is done through KCET/ COMED-K. The Institution is offering ten Undergraduate Programmes, eleven Postgraduate Programmes and many Research Centers having Ph.D. students under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka. Candidates need to fill out an application form for courses they are applying for.

DAIT UG Admission 2024 

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore offers B.E. in 10 different streams. The candidates seeking admission in this UG program must have passed 10+2 with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects. The selection of the candidates is based on the score of KCET/ COMEDK UGET followed by the personal interview. All the candidates must compulsorily produce the study Certificate (wherever necessary) obtained from the head of the institution where the candidate has passed the 10th standard/ SSLC examination, by mentioning the Standards, Academic years, Mother Tongue as per the admission register of the institution. All candidates are directed to see the website of KEA at least twice every day for updates. The selection of the eligible candidates is done only on the basis of their marks scored in Entrance Exam conducted by Vishwarya Technological University. The programs are full-time courses. 

DAIT UG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Details

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are only liable to apply for B.Tech course in this college. KCET/ COMEDK UGET score followed by counseling. The candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the academic year. Three-year Diploma holders are eligible for direct admission in the Lateral Entry scheme.

DMIT provides various specializations in B. Tech Courses. Candidates need to check for various courses offered by the college. Direct Admission is provided to B. Tech (Diploma).

DAIT PG Admission 2024  

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology offers MBA, MCA and M.Tech programs in various specializations. The basic criterion to take admission is to have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subjects with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university. The final selection of candidates is based on the score of PGCET while for M.Tech, the candidates must qualify GATE followed by GD and personal interview. Intake capacity depends upon the nature of courses. For GATE, eligible candidates may visit the official website. A relaxation of 5% of marks is given to SC/ ST candidates as compared to 50% marks for General category candidates.

DAIT M. Tech Admission 2024

Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech need to appear in the General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Apart from the entrance test, the candidate must have qualified his/ her Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline with minimum required marks. For GATE, eligible candidates may visit the official website. Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech need to appear in the General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

DAIT Ph. D Research Admission 2024 

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology offers a Ph.D. in various fields of Science and Management. The minimum eligibility criterion to take admission requires a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 50% marks from any recognized university. The selection of the candidates in Ph.D is based on the GATE score or UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ JRF Fellowship. Selection of this through GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ JRF Fellowship. A fixed number of seats are allotted under Government and Management Quota.

DAIT Ph. D Research Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Details

Candidates must have completed a Masters Degree from a recognized college/ University. The candidate is selected on the basis of the GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ JRF Fellowship. 

DAIT Application Form 2024

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology invites offline applications. However, for KCET/ COMEDK UGET/ PGCET/ GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR NET, the candidates must register themselves online on the respective portals. To apply for admission in this institute, the candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps. The candidates can either download the application form from the official website of the institute by clicking on the Admission tab or obtain the same from the admission office of the institute. Fill the application form and affix a passport size photograph on the application form. Submit the application along with the above-mentioned documents to the admission office of the institute.

DAIT Admission Fees

The fee structure for various courses is as follows. The UG courses include fees such as college fees of INR 22,475 and VTU fees of INR 7720. The UG fees for B. Tech for the first year are INR 30,195 for Karnataka students and INR 31,695 for non-Karnataka students. The PG courses fees include college fees along with VTU fees that are INR 25,185 and INR 1720 respectively. Thus PG courses are INR 27,145. The college offers Ph. D course with a fee of INR 27,470 under DAIT fee structure.
