Laboratories

Pharmaceutics laboratory

• UV- Visible spectrophotometer, Disintegration test apparatus, Dissolution test apparatus, Karl Fischer titrator, Capsule filling machine etc.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry laboratory

• No of Laboratories: 04 (including Instrument lab)
• Area of each Laboratory: 108 sq.mtrs.
• Area of Instrument Laboratory: 78 sq. meters.
• Equipment worth Rs.: 25 Lakhs

• High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, UV- Visible spectrophotometer,  Visible spectrophotometer, Colorimeter, Rotary evaporator,  Flame photometer, Digital  Fluorimeter, Digital Polarimeter, Digital Nephaloturbidometer etc.

Pharmacology laboratory

• Department of Pharmacology has three well equipped and furnished laboratories, i.e Human anatomy and physiology, Pharmacology, and advance video tracking laboratories of total area 250 sq. meters with sophisticated digital instruments worth Rs. 15 lakhs for preclinical and toxicological research. 

Human Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory:

• The broad goal of the teaching to undergraduate students in Anatomy and Physiology is with the aim to provide comprehensive knowledge of the gross and microscopic structure and development of human body to provide a basis for understanding the clinical correlation of organs and structure involved and the anatomical basis for disease presentation.  

Pharmacology Laboratory:

The Pharmacology laboratory has a facility for advanced research in the field of preclinical and clinical Pharmacology. The major research areas include 

• Phytochemical studies
• Neuropsychological and behavioural studies
• Immunopharmacological studies
• Toxicological studies.

Pharmacognosy Laboratory

• The research facilities in the department include standard laboratories with an area of 216 sqm. mt. (two labs) housed with equipment worth Rs. 5, 18, 777 consisting of various sophisticated instruments like Vacuum oven, UV cabinet, BOD incubator, Electronic microscope, etc. and in addition to this equipment there is a Herbarium housed in the Department of Pharmacognosy, for medicinal plant authentication and conservation.

Computer centre

• The Internet is transforming society and shaping the future through chat.
• A modern era without computers is like a desert without sand. At Padmashree Dr D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy we have air-conditioned labs enabled with the internet and licensed software applications connected in a network. Wi-Fi facility is provided as another mandatory thing so students are not restricted to labs or spend money in café for projects and programming.

Library

• Any discipline of study requires material of study, references and information collated at one place; library. We are moving rapidly in technology sophisticated world but hard copy is a preferred medium chosen by students from ancient eras. Our library wardrobe consists huge quantum of books split between authors, topics, subjects, magazines and newspapers. An entire silent zone with mechanised search system is serviced by a librarian who is skilled enough to handle all concerns of students. 

Language laboratory

• A warm smile is the universal language of kindness, which a deaf can hear and a blind can see.
• Strange to hear but a unique concept at Padmashree Dr D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy is that of Language Laboratory. The institute under the guidance of communication skills experts trains students to enhance their writing and verbal capabilities. The students are developed and assist as per corporate requirements.

Medicinal Plant Garden 

• The College has well maintained “Charak Medicinal Plant Garden” with approximately 110 endangered and diversified medicinal and folklore plants. The Students visit and maintain the garden as per the curriculum and enhance their knowledge. 

Animal House

• The College has well-established animal house approved by CPCSEA, giving all the necessary care & facilities for hygienic housing of laboratory animals like Wistar rats and mice required for preclinical studies.

Amphitheatre

• If you want to reach people, the amphitheatre is always the best way to do it.
• The amphitheatre is exactly in the middle of campus is a centre of attraction for everyone giving awesome ambience to the students of Padmashree Dr D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy in organising Industry-Institute Interactions, fares and Cultural fests.

Dnyanaprasad Sabhagruha:

• A kind of conference room has a seating capacity of 200 with Projectors, Internet access unit, Television set, VHS, CD/VCD units are utilised for events, presentations, meetings, conferences and lectures.
