Scholarships :-

Since inception, numerous scholarships (Government and Private) are awarded to meritorious and deserving students.

1. M/s. N.T.Patel and company Scholarships

An Endowment of Rs. 25000-00 institutred by M/s.N.T.Patel and com-pany, Engineering Contractors, Chennai for awarding scholarships to students of the B.Sc. Degree (Mathematics) class who secure 75% in Mathematics in the qualifying examination and also takes Sanskrit as a language. The scholarship is tenable for the duration of the course subject to the satisfactory progress and conduct of the student.

2. Seth Bapudas Darbar & Sons Endowment Scholarships

An Endowment of Rs. 25000-00 instituted by Seth Bapudas Ramdas Darbar, Bagalkot for awarding scholarships to deserving students.

3. Gandhi Centenary Fund Scholarships

An Endowment of Rs. 5000-00 instituted by students, staff and the management of the college for awarding scholarships to poor and deserving students.

4. Sakala Vidya Vachaspati S.R.Govinda Rajan Shastiabdhapoorthi Commemoration Scholarship

An Endowment of Rs. 3000-00 instituted by Shri N. Rajagopalan of Madras Motors Limited for awarding scholarship to a poor and deserving student.

5. Rotary Club of Madras West scholarship

An Endowment of Rs.2500-00 instituted by the Rotary Club of Madras West for awarding scholarship to a deserving student.

Preference is given to a student who has made a mark in social and community service.

6. Shri K.R .Srinivasan and Smt. Radha Srinivasan Shashtiabdhapoorthi Scholarship Fund

An Endowment of Rs.5000-00 instituted by Shri K.S. Rajagopalan and Shri. K.S. Ranganathan for awarding scholarships to deserving students, preferably Srivaishnava Boys.

7. Shri Brij Mohan Mohunta Memorial Scholarships

An Endowment of Rs. 5000-00 instituted by Smt. Mohini Mohunta for awarding stipends to deserving students.

8. Smt Vummidi Lakshmikantamma Endowment

An Endowment of Rs.6500 instituted by Shri V.Ethiraj for awarding scholarships to poor but deserving students, preferably to Arya Vysya Boys.

9. Shri Ravindra Mulraj Endowment

An Endowment of Rs. 3000-00 instituted by M/s. Bai Javar Bai Mulraj Karsondoss Charitable Trust, Mumbai for awarding a scholarship to Post - Graduate Students.

10. Leo Club Of Madras Endowment

An Endowment of Rs.3000-00 instituted by the Leo Club of Madras for awarding scholarship to a student who secures the highest aggregate in the M.Com. Degree Examination of the Evening College.

11. Shri Shivaratan Davey Endowment

An Endowment of Rs.11000-00 instituted by Shri Shivaratan Davey and others for awarding Scholarship to deserving students.

12. Professor T.K. Parthasarthy Endowment Scholarship

An Endowment of Rs.4000-00 instituted by the Old students of Professor T.K.Parthasarthy for awarding a Scholarship to a deserving student of Chemistry.

13. Metropolitan Tamil Sangam (U.S.A) Endowment

Shri V.Narayanan and his employer M/s.Lone Star Gas Company have endowed $1000 each for awarding Scholarships to needy students.

14. Sudhanwa Endowment Scholarship

The T.C. Trust of the Dollar Company Private Limited, Chennai, instituted an Endowment of Rs.25000-00 in memory of Shri V.Thyagarajan for awarding Scholarship to deserving Student.

15. Shri P. Soundarajan Memorial Scholarship

An Endowment of Rs 3000 instituted by Shri R.Padmanabhan for awarding scholarship to a poor and deserving forward community student.

16. Shri Vupputur Anandakrishna Chetty Silver Jubilee En-dowment

An Endowment of Rs.10000-00 instituted by Shri. Vupputur Anandakrishna Chetty, Chennai for awarding scholarship to a Post-Graduate Student of Arya Vysya Community preferably one with Telugu as mother tongue.

17. Shri S. Duraiswamy Iyer Memorial Endowment

An Endowment of Rs.25000-00 instituted by Shri T. Dorairaj of T.C trust of the Dollar Company Private Limited, Chennai for awarding scholarships to poor and deserving students.

18. Shri Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarship

An Endowment of Rs, 40000-00 instituted by Shri Sultan Chand Trust, New Delhi for awarding scholarship to a meritorious student of II B.Com.

19. Engineering employees Welfare Trust Endowment Scholarships Fund

An Endowment of Rs.100000-00 instituted by Engineering Employees Welfare Trust, Chennai - 600 028 for awarding scholarships to atleast two students to meet the cost of their U.G / P.G education.

20. Par Trust Endowment

An Endowment of Rs.25000-00 instituted by the Par Trust, Chennai-28 with an objective to render financial assistance to poor and needy students.

21. P.V. Raghavan Endowment Scholarship

An Endowment of Rs. 25000 instituted by Department of Economics to award scholarships to the students nominated by Head of the Department.

22. M.R. Sreenivasan Endowment

An Endowment of Rs. 40,000-00 instituted by Department of Commerce and the interest accrued thereon to be utilised only for purchasing books for Commerce Department Library.

Merit  Scholarships

Understanding the need for recognition and appreciation the management encourages high achievers by awarding scholarship to students who have excelled in academics, arts and cultural activities.

The students can apply for the same with the recommendations of the respective Heads of Department.
