ESIC started its first Medical College in Gulbarga, Bangalore in the year 2012. It is started with 100 students in the first academic year. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science(RGUHS), Bangalore, Karnataka. The Medical Council of India(MCI), New Delhi has accorded this college. 

There are 6 museums in the medical college. It has 5 centrally air-conditioned lecture halls with all modern facilities for teaching purposes. The central library is equipped with modern kinds of facilities like e-library, audiovisual aids and 5000+ books for reference for students and faculties. The admission form is available online but students need to report to college to submit the forms and documents.

ESIC Medical College Courses

The ESIC Medical College offers an undergraduate program in medical termed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is abbreviated as MBBS. MBBS course duration is 5½ years. The course follows the semester-wise pattern consisting of 9 semesters. The MBBS  syllabus will give students practical experience as well as theoretical studies for 4 and a half years followed by a 1-year compulsory internship in various fields of medicine and surgery.

Medical colleges don’t have the option of placements like other degree colleges. Most of the students go for higher education after completion of the UG course, other join hospitals as a junior resident and very few open their clinics. ESIC Medical College Eligibility Criteria

Students who scored good grades in their 10+2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as subjects are eligible to take admission in ESIC Medical College. For admissions, students should be eligible according to the eligibility criteria defined by them. Admissions to ESIC Medical College are open after the declaration of NEETresults. Eligible candidates can apply on the website. Admissions are based on eligibility and merit. The Faculty of ESIC Medical College is highly qualified and experienced in its field. Following is the process to take admission the college:

• Admission forms are available on the website
• Students need to download it and fill it properly
• Students are advised to visit the college campus in person with a guardian along with prescribed documents
• In the case of AiQ/ESIC Ward of IP-NEET seats- the seat surrender procedure will be duly followed.
•  Kindly generate the online seat surrender receipt and contact the Admission Counter of the college after seat surrendering 
• The admission process may take more than a day. There is no provision for staying arrangement for outstation candidates 
• The original documents will be sent to RGUHS, Bangalore for admission approval. The students are instructed to keep at least 3 Xerox copies of original documents with themselves for future use
• The admission offered to a candidate will be provisional. DME & RGUHS are final authorities.
