BMCRI, Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute were established as a private medical school in 1955 by the Mysore Education Society. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences [RGUHS] at present. Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute have been recognized by MCI. The university was handed over to the Government of Mysore in 1966 and was later affiliated with Bangalore University. UCMS accepts NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET MDS exam results for admission to various UG and PG courses.

BMCRI also has a well-established campus with all facilities like the Central Library, It is one of the finest government medical colleges in Karnataka. It also has Hostels, a Central research laboratory, and other campus facilities. Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute Admission is done for different departments of medical science. BMCRI Admission 2024

BMCRI admissions for 2024 will take place on the basis of NEET scores. Admission to the program is granted on the basis of NEET PG and NEET UG. Admission to the DM and M.Ch. program is granted on the basis of NEET SS. For admission to this College, the candidate must at least have 50% marks in the entrance exam. 

BMCRI Eligibility Criteria

BMCRI has set up different criteria for admission to different courses. Admissions to MBBS, M.D., M.S., Diploma, and Super Specialty courses are made solely on the basis of the candidate's results in the National Eligibility Entry Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the basic criteria for some courses are as follows

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board of Examination are eligible to apply for MBBS admission.
  • NEET -UG Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate in PCB. 

MD/MS Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS or equivalent Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India with a minimum of 50% marks.

Diploma Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must be an MBBS graduate with a 50% aggregate.

BMCRI Cutoff

BMCRI cutoff is the minimum mark prescribed by the selection board for the admission of students. The merit list will be designed on these Cutoff scores. Aspirants who apply for the Institute need to clear the cutoff for various courses. Aspirants are required to obtain minimum qualifying percentile marks in NEET 2022 entrance examination in order to qualify for further admission process.

  • Applicants are required to achieve minimum scoring percentile scores on the 2022 NEET Entrance Examination to qualify for further admission process.
  • Candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40thpercentile to be considered for AQI and state counseling process.
  • Aspirants who belong to the UR category are required to score equivalent to at least 50% percentile.
  • Similarly, the basic eligibility for other diploma programs MD, PG is to obtain the required cut-off grades in NEET-PG.

BMCRI Result

BMCRI publishes its results online. The result of the examination will be carried out in two modalities, annual and semi-annual examinations. Test result dates are important to any student applying for admission. The university also offers a regular mode for students to get results.
