The NEET PG 2025 exam date has been announced and is tentatively scheduled on Jun 15, 2025.
The Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, known as BMCRI, was established in 1955 by Dr Shivaram and Dr Mohammed Shafi Mekhri for the Mysore Education Society. The institution formed its alliance with Mysore University and Bangalore University and later it came under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). The BMCRI is MCI accepted and NABH accredited with various UG, PG, and diploma course titles available for the students. The college is associated with four key teaching hospitals: Victoria Hospital, Vani Vilas Women and Children Hospital, Minto Eye Hospital, as well as SDS Tuberculosis Sanatorium. The courses offered at BMCRI include MBBS, MD/MS, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, DM/M.Ch, Diploma, and Fellowship at Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Superspeciality levels. These programs require the candidates to undergo an entrance test and score well in NEET UG, NEET PG, or NEET SS. The seats are then reserved for the candidates who score the necessary cutoff for their category through counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Admission to MSc Nursing and Post Basic BSc Nursing programs also follow the rules and regulations framed by KEA for admission. BMCRI provides several scholarships to students studying medicine which are based on merit as well as need-based income.

These National eligibility cum entrance Tests are NEET UG for MBBS, NEET PG for MD/MS, and NEET SS for DM/MCh for which BMCRI Bangalore has prescribed their respective cutoff ranks. Of the total number of postgraduate seats, 50% are available for the All India candidates, and 50% for the State candidates. The entry requirement for programs offered in Post Basic BSc Nursing and Diploma is determined by the merit list of previous qualifying examinations. MSc Nursing and Fellowship course entrants have to write the entrance exam set by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The candidates who wish to join BMCRI Bangalore have to produce the application forms, along with the demand draft of INR 550, for the candidates who have done their 12th standard in Karnataka, and INR 650 for those who have done their 12th standard from other states. They also have to write the state medical entrance test/vacancy or the all-India entrance test. While undergoing counseling exercise, the candidates are required to present original copies of their entrance examination results. For admission to postgraduate courses, a seat allotment letter from the Director General of Health Services / Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences is mandatory. However, internships need to complete a bond of INR 100 while appearing to the postgraduate students, as well as medical registration certificates.
