Library

A fully automated modern Library & Information Centre (LIC) is on its way to becoming an outstanding learning resource centre catering to the ever growing and uncompromising information and intellectual requirements of the students, faculty, and researchers.

A balanced programme on the development of the collection of hard copy, audio/video, CD-ROM, and other electronic forms of documents is being followed. The LIC has one of the finest collections of latest engineering and management publications.

Library & Information division of FISAT, offers its services to FISAT Community and Staff from various departments of the college and neighboring institutions.

Language Lab

The Language Lab provides opportunities for students to enhance their skills in communication which is a prerequisite to speak their personality and get placed in reputed firms. It also offers facilities for learning other foreign languages like German, French & Arabic.

The Central Computing Facility (CCF)

FISAT commissioned the new Central computing facility in May 2009. The CCF has five labs and has a total of 250 Computers all with Intel Core i3 / Core i5 2033MHz/4GB RAM/ 18.5" TFT Monitor and Debian 7.0 GNU/Linux and Windows 7 Professional as Operating System. This high-tech lab complex has a total area of 5,400 sqft and is fully air conditioned. Another good feature of the CCF is that it has a back up of two Online UPS (30 kVA and 20 kVA) and the Tubular batteries can give a back up of 3 hours on peak load. The interiors and layout is planned in most modern way for maximum utility for space and aesthetics.

The High Performance Computing Centre (HPC) with Dakshina Cluster Series-II, the new Sun servers and Storage arrays are housed in the CCF. The total cost of facilities amounts to almost 90 Lakhs.

Internet Facilities

Internet can be accessed anywhere in the campus including OPAC with the implementation of dedicated firewall which enables all the labs ready with internet facility enabling the students to utilize the possibilities of web-based learning. 70 MBPS Broadband internet connectivity is available for this.

IT Infrastructure

FISAT acquired SunTM Blade Servers

FISAT has added state of the art Sun BladeTM servers to our Campus Infrastructure. The Sun blade chassis 6000 consists of 4 number of X6250 blade servers with a total capacity of 10 blades. Each blade consists of  Two Quad-Core Intel (R) Xeon(R) L5430 Processor, (2x6MB L2, 2.66 GHz, 1333MHz FSB, 50W) with 4 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM.  Three of the blades run on Debian 5.0 GNU/Linux and one blade on Windows Server 2003 (64 bit). All the campus automation projects, staff & students` logins, campus intranet etc will be hosted in these servers.

Sun (TM) Storage J4200 array

A Sun(TM) Storage J4200 array is a new addition to the campus infrastructure with a total capacity of 1.8 TB for external storage.

FISAT`s Mail Server moved to Google.   

The mail server of FISAT is now hosted by Google. With this facility all the mails under the domain "fisat.ac.in" will have the same features as of Gmail. This includes Google-hosted email, calendar and IM apps. The mail storage capacity is same as that of Gmail and now it is more than 7 GB for each user. Google Apps Education Edition is a free suite of hosted communication & collaboration applications designed for schools and universities. With this change, the utility of the campus mail is bound to improve and become user friendly with less spam.

Campus Automation

FISAT has adopted total automation as a basic need for the most efficient management of the college administration. The Campus Dimension Software Package which includes modules for  Academics, Library, Administration, Accounts, Store etc are installed and all are integrated to a single database. A web-based service acts as an interactive tool for parents, teacher, students and the campus administration centres for information exchange and thus links up the various departments and management functions of the college. 

Hostel Facilities

Hostel for boys and girls with excellent amentities have been provided inside the college campus.The gents` hostel can accomodate nearly 552 inmates. The ladies` hostel can accomodate more than 540 inmates. Both the hostels are provided with spacious mess halls and modern kitchens. Effective waste disposal using bio-gas and waste water treatment plants ensures environment protection. Caring wardens and tight security ensures a pleasant stay, allowing students to focus on their studies.    

Cafeteria

The centrally located College Canteen meets the catering requirements for all the staff and students. The spacious canteen can comfortably accommodate 400 persons at a time.

Federal Bank & ATM Centre

Federal Bank has opened its 700th branch at FISAT Campus on 03-07-2010. The branch is named as `Hormis Nagar" branch.  A Federal Bank ATM Centre is also opened infront of the college campus for the convenience of the staff members and students.

The campus was declared as the first `Yuvamitra` Campus of Federal Bank.
