GIET Courses

GIET University offers a wide array of academic programs, with tuition fees ranging between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 1,99,000 annually, depending on the course type, duration, and specialization. The university provides 89 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. At the UG level, GIET University offers 33 B.Tech programs and 12 B.Sc programs. For postgraduate students, the university has a diverse selection of specializations, offering 12 M.Tech courses and 8 MSc programs. Applications for the 2024-25 academic session are currently open. Admission requires candidates to take the MAT exam, and the university also accepts scores from a range of entrance exams, including Odisha CHSE, GMAT, JEE Main, OJEE, GATE, CMAT, CBSE 12th, XAT, GIETEE, and CAT.

Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology Admission

GIET University conducts admissions annually for a variety of courses in fields such as Science, Technology, Agriculture, Management, Economics, and Literature, providing quality education to students globally. The admission process is carried out through three modes: walk-in inquiries, online applications, and entrance exams. Candidates can visit the Dean of Admissions office at the university to submit offline applications or fill out the online application form available on the university's website, where they can also find details about courses, fees, and eligibility. GIET Eligibility Criteria

Each course has minimum eligibility criteria which a student needs to meet to be able to apply for that course. Below are the eligibility criteria for the popular GIET courses.

GIET B.Tech Eligibility

B.Tech is a four-year undergraduate course with specializations in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, and electronics & communication engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

• The students should have minimum academic qualification as Pass in 10+2 examination with 45% marks from recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

GIET Diploma Eligibility

Diploma in Engineering is a three-year course with specializations in civil engineering and mechanical engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

• The students should have minimum academic qualification as pass 35% in 10th exam from recognized Board/University.
• For Lateral Entry in Diploma, the students should have minimum academic qualification as pass 50% in 10+2 exam from recognized Board/University.

GIET BCA Eligibility

Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA] is a three-year undergraduate course offered by Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 or it's equivalent from a recognized board.

GIET Cutoff

GIET University cut off also changes from course to course as well as from the entrance examination. For B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and other UG and PG programs, the University accepts students based on the merit of JEE Main, OJEE, GIETEE, GATE, CMAT, XAT CAT, MAT scores. It may also be noted that programme specific qualifying marks or ranks may vary from candidate to candidate, year to year, depending on factors such as number of applicants, number of seats available and the degree of difficulty of the entrance tests etc. Admission to the desired course is granted only if the candidate satisfies the minimum cutoff requirement of the course. However, the candidate is between 120 and 150 for the general category, candidates are advised to visit official website GIET University or the admission brochure of respective year of admittance.
