Day Care Centre: The day care centre serve the requirements of the instructors, officers, and staff. 

Hospital: Medical officers and paramedics provide emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Oxygen administration, nebulizer, IV drip infusion, stretcher, wheel chair, emergency medicines, and other emergency services are available.

Market: The market is a very well developed. It has several stores and sufficient for all the stuff for daily needs, like food and restaurant, groceries, pharmacy, stationeries, photocopy, printing, and tailors.

Bank and ATM: The Gauhati University has SBI and PNB branch. It also has 2 SBI ATMs, 1 UBI ATM, and 1 India Post ATM for students, and staff.

Hostel: There are 24 student hostels. Each of these hostels has its unique history, including notable graduates. These Gauhati University hostel have their own kitchens as well as security personnel. Radio Station: Radio Luit is a non-profit organisation that aims to provide a platform for students, faculty, non-teaching staff, and community members from the surrounding areas to tell their own unique stories, share their experiences in a media-rich world, and become active creators and contributors of media. The radio station broadcasts over a 15-kilometer radius around the GU IDOL building, where the studio is located.

Sports: The university offers several games like football, volleyball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, hockey, kabaddi, and basketball for holistic development.
