The Royal Global University was established in 2009, with the Business and Engineering Schools. Today it has over 20 schools across disciplines such as Management, Commerce, Architecture, Fine Arts, Fashion, Applied and Pure Sciences, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Nursing, etc. It is a leading institute in Guwahati, Assam and is UGC approved. The Royal Global University is established by ‘The Assam Royal Global University Act’, which has been notified by the Government of Assam. It became a member of AIU in 2017. Apart from this, it also holds many other prestigious accreditations and approvals like AICTE approval. The architectural programs of the Royal Global University Guwahati are being approved by the Council of Architecture, and the law programs are being approved by the Bar Council of India. Admission is open for UG, PG and Diploma courses for the academic year 2023-24.
The nursing programs for the Royal Global University are approved by Indian Nursing Council and the Pharma Programmes are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. BTech Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have completed their 10+2, or equivalent with Physics, Maths, and English as compulsory subjects, and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology, or any other vocational subjects as optional, having scored at least 50% [45% for SC/ ST/ OBC], from a recognized board/ council.

MTech Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have completed their BE/ BTech/ AMIE, or equivalent, in a relevant field, having scored at least 50% [45% for SC/ ST/ OBC], from a recognized institute.
MBA Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have completed their Bachelor's Degree, having scored at least 50% [45% for SC/ ST/ OBC], from a recognized Institution.
- Admission will be based on an entrance test conducted by RGU and performance in Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.
- Candidates should have valid scores in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ MAT/ CMAT etc. with at least 75 percentile to be exempted from appearing in the University's Entrance Test.
