Library Details

• GMIT Tezpur library is well maintained and provides different textbooks, reference books, and other reference sources like encyclopedias, dictionaries, fiction, biographies, CDs, etc. 
• The central library at GIMT Tezpur is situated in the administrative building, and it covers a total floor area of 400 sq. ft. The library provides four reputed daily newspapers and several magazines to its users. 
• The library has almost 8724 book volumes and subscriptions to e-journals through DELNET (Developing Library Network). 

Central Workshop: The central workshop at GIMT Tezpur has all the basic training facilities for engineering students in turning, machining & welding, fitting, carpentry, and blacksmithy trades. The workshop is also utilised for making models given as students projects works and minor repair works of college fleets of transports, constructional works requirements and meeting the requirements of other departments or laboratories of the institution. 

Central Computing Facilities

• The computing facility of Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology occupies a floor space of more than 300 sq. m and houses around 120 computers loaded with Windows 7, 8 & Linux operating systems. 
• The computers at the lab are based on Intel Core i3 and i5 processor based technology. The computing facilities are well equipped with a LAN connection through a central server to work on different platforms. 
• The GIMT Tezpur lab offers a broadband internet facility of 2 Mbps and encourages students to use the computer lab facility to gain sufficient hands-on practice. 

Laboratory Facilities: The college has more than 30 laboratories for all the departments running various engineering courses. The laboratories are equipped with modern equipment to let students experience the latest technology and give the desired experience.
