Eligibility Criteria at GM Institute of Technology, [GMIT] Davanagere:

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech:

• To be eligible for admission to the first year of the course the students shall have passed all the subjects of the two-year Pre-University Examination (Science) conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board / 10+2 years course of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
• Should have studied with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects :-  Chemistry/Biology / Biotechnology/ Computer Science / Electronics and English as a subject of study or Any other examinations recognised by the VTU as equivalent thereto.

(i) The candidate shall have secured not less than 45% ( 40% for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe and other Backwards classes) of marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the subjects Chemistry/Biology / Biotechnology/ Computer Science / Electronics.

(ii) Candidate should have appeared for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the CET Cell / COMED-K.

Eligibility Criteria for Diploma:

• Candidates should hold 3 years Diploma in appropriate Branch of Engineering /Technology by the Board of Technical Examination in Karnataka.
  (a) The candidate shall have secured not less than 45% in final year examination in 5th and 6th semesters (40% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe and other Backwards classes) of marks in aggregate.
  (b) Has at least one year of professional experience in the appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology after passing diploma course as on September for the year of admission.

Note :

1. candidates who have passed from Other Boards have to Compulsorily obtain Clearance Certificate from Association Indian Universities, New Delhi.
2. Eligible Candidates seeking Admission should also obtain the eligibility certificate from the concerned college.
3. NRI QUOTA as per Rules o Government of Karnataka
4. NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS as per Rules of the Government of Karnataka

Step 1: Photographs:

• The candidate must attach their Photographs which are attested.

Step 2: Personal Information must be provided:

• Name of the Candidate
• Age of the Candidate
• Sex of the candidate
• Father's name 

Step 3: Contact information must be filled in

• verified address
• email id
• mobile number

Step 4: Educational qualification

• Year of completing the course
• The Percentage marks scored.
• The board from which the candidate has passed
• School/ University in which the candidate studied

Step 5: Submission of the form

• Application must be purchased with the normal fee
• The Application must be correctly filled with all the required information.
• It must then be submitted to the office
• The shortlisted candidate will be called for interview.

Admission Process at GM Institute of Technology, [GMIT] Davanagere:

Admission Process for B.Tech:

The candidate shall get admissions based on the ranking obtained in CET, COMED-K or other equivalent exams.

• KEA will allot the seats online only in the order of merit and based on the priority of options entered by the candidates.

• Since the list of the allotted applicants will be published in online mode, candidates have to log in and download their admission/seat allotment letter.

• The selected applicants will have to take a printout of the admission letter and report at their allotted institute.

• Payment of fees has to be done after which the admission of the applicants will be confirmed.

NOTE: Only those applicants who manage to meet the cutoff of Karnataka CET 2024 will be allowed to participate in the counselling session. If the applicants fail to register and get themselves verified then they will not be allotted any seats.
