Established in 2011, Jain Institute of Technology (JIT) in Avargere, Davangere, Karnataka, offers five undergraduate engineering programs. The 16-acre campus focuses on innovative teaching to nurture skilled engineers. Affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, JIT is recognized by the Government of Karnataka.

Jain Institute of Technology Admissions

Jain Institute of Technology (JIT) offers undergraduate engineering programs in various disciplines. Admission is based on the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) score. Applicants must have completed higher secondary education with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one optional subject(Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics), and a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

B.E. Admission Highlights: 

Lateral entry is available for Mechanical and Civil Engineering, requiring a Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. 

MBA Admission:

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Only those with a valid PGCET score are eligible, and seat allocation is based on KEA counselling.

Library: 

The JIT Library covers an area of 415.416 m² and accommodates up to 200 users. It holds over 13,898 volumes, including books, journals, and e-resources. The library is automated with KOHA software and provides borrowing, reference, and digital services, along with e-journal access through VTU e-consortium and the National Digital Library.

Transportation: 

JIT provides transportation to Davangere and Harihar, with 6 buses operating 5 daily trips. 

Internet Facility: 

The campus offers Wi-Fi access supported by a 500 Mbps BSNL leased line and a 50 Mbps Reliance Jio connection. 

Dispensary: 

The campus dispensary provides first aid and medical care, is equipped with necessary supplies and is staffed by a registered doctor. It also has an MoU with City Central Hospital for emergency services. 

Physical Education & Sports: 

The Physical Education department offers state-of-the-art sports facilities, expert coaching, and competitive sports opportunities, including cricket, basketball, and yoga, promoting overall fitness and well-being.
