Rajiv Gandhi Government Degree College is located in Shimla in India's Himachal Pradesh state. The hostel facility, established in 1986, is not accessible to its students. In addition to being the first Degree College to be established in Shimla on 1 July 1969, the college enjoys the distinct position of being the first college to be awarded the status of Centre of Excellence on 12 January 2006.

The college is undoubtedly making rapid progress in education, which is implicit from the very fact that it runs three streams: Arts, Science & Commerce, Rajiv Gandhi Government Degree College Admissions, provides a Computer Applications undergraduate course, but B.Com. And B.C.A. The courses began in 2006. Under the self-financing scheme, the B.C.A. (Bachelor in Computer Application) courses are being run.

BCA Program
