GMC Aurangabad was established in 1956. It is situated in the heart of the city with an area of 99 acres of land. The Government Medical College and Hospital in Aurangabad is regarded as one of the most prestigious medical universities in the state of Maharashtra. The college is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences MUHS. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs under various specializations. The selection of candidates is done both on a merit and entrance basis. The university accepts qualifying exams like NEET UG and NEET PG.

GMC Aurangabad offers courses in the field of medicine. The student’s advisory committee conducts extracurricular activities for the students. They participate in various sports activities at various levels. The hospital provides qualified, dedicated staff and modern equipment in all clinical, para-clinical & pre-clinical departments.

GMC Aurangabad Eligibility Criteria

GMC Aurangabad offers medical science courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Before applying for the course, candidates must closely comply with the eligibility requirements. Applicants will be chosen entirely on the basis of their merit. There are numerous requirements for various courses, some of which are given below.

MBBS/ BDS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have completed 10+2 with 50% marks in general and 40% for SC/ST.
• Candidates should also qualify for NEET UG  for applying for the courses.

MD/ MS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should complete MBBS plus one year of the rotatory internship.
• Applicants must be NEET UG qualified.

B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• The student must have passed the 10th and 12th science stream
• The candidates must have a valid JEE score

GMC Aurangabad Cutoff

GMC Aurangabad cutoff 2022 will be released later this year. Candidates applying for MBBS, and MS/ MD courses are required to qualify in NEET UG, and NEET PG respectively to seek admission. The institute accepts NEET UG and NEET PG exams.

GMC Aurangabad Placements

GMC Aurangabad placement cell ensures that almost 100% of students get placed every year. Packages depend on the branch of post-graduation. In branches like radiology and pediatric, the package varies from INR 25-30 LPA. Clinical placements are available for students in a range of wards, including gynecology, surgery, psychiatry, and medicine. During this internship time, students are also given a stipend. Students have the option of continuing their service in a government hospital or a private hospital after the internship time.
