SHODH: The Gujarati government has launched a programme called SHODH (a system of generating high-quality research) to financially support students conducting qualitative research. In the last five years, more than 1000 full-time research scholars have received awards worth Rs 15,000 per month plus 20,000 contingency expenses per year under this programme.
