Facilities at HL Institute of Commerse :

Classrooms

The classrooms are well built with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities and are ergonomically designed so as to give ideal teaching and learning environment. All the classrooms are equipped with modern audio-visual devices which provides support to faculties and facilitates learning for the students.

Library

The HLIC Library is an invaluable resource for students and faculties of Commerce. The library has 6700 books, 28 periodicals, question papers of last 14 years of Gujarat University and College Examination, 6 English and 5 Gujarati newspapers and other resources like 190 CDs and DVDs and 60 audio cassettes.

As user friendly library software called SOUL which is developed by INFLLIBNET, an Inter University Centre of UGC, has been installed at the library so as to make it fully automated.

OPAC Facility

The Online Public Access Catalogue provides users with a listing of all material available in the library. It allows searches by author, title, publisher etc. The OPAC also indicates whether the book is presently available or issued and the expected date of return. The library stock is classified using the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme, so users can easily find the location of the books in the stack room.

ONLINE RESOURCES Online access to e-books and e-journals through EBSCO and Emerald is now available to teaching faculties and students on-campus.

Computers

The campus has a state-of-the-art Computer Laboratory having updated configuration and peripherals. The workstations equipped with internet facility are available to all students, faculty members and administrative staff.

Auditorium

The campus has an air-conditioned auditorium equipped with modern audio visual equipments and multimedia facility which facilitates the institute to conduct seminars, conferences, lectures and so on.

Hostel

The hostel facilities are common for all educational institutions run by the AES. There are separate hostels, with independent campuses for boys and girls. In fact, HLIC is one of the few colleges in Ahmedabad providing hostel facilities to outstation students. The accommodation is quite sufficient to meet the demand by outstation students seeking admission at HLIC.

The hostels for both boys and girls provide basic boarding and lodging facilities.

Two students share a room, which is furnished with beds, electric lights, fan, a cupboard, table and chairs.
There is a common kitchen for providing food to the residents of the girls’ hostel.
Common sanitation facilities, with 24-hours running water, are provided.
The hostels are located within one-kilometer radius of the Campus. Their proximity to the campus provides easy accessibility to the Institute.

Cafeteria

The college has an on-campus cafeteria which serves hygienic and refreshing food with a lot of options to choose from. The Cafeteria can be accessed by the students at all times during the day.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two hostels, girls hostel, and boys hostel. The hostel fee per month is INR 5,000. Classrooms are net and clean. The library provides many collections of reference books and campus are fully wifi covered.
