The IIM Udaipur campus sprawls over an area of 300 acres 8 kilometres in the city of old Udaipur in Balicha. IIMU is the first one of the newer IIMs to have a permanent campus, equipped with every facility required for the holistic academic development of the students.

The IIM Udaipur infrastructure is of international standards but also preserving the fortress style architecture of the Rajasthani culture. Some of the highlighting features of the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur infrastructure are listed below.

Hostel

• The IIM Udaipur hostel is one of the newer additions to the infrastructure with 3 buildings to accommodate students all over.
• The hostels are air conditioned and are available in both single and twin-sharing room options.
• Students in the first year are generally allocated the twin-sharing rooms.
• Ramanujan Boys Hostel and MDS Hostel are the two hostel buildings for Boys, while the MDS Girls Hostels is for the female students.
• The IIMU campus hostel aims to become a home away from home for the admitted students. Basic amenities like 24x7 electricity and power backup, sanitary facilities and nutritious food are offered round the clock.
• In addition, the hostels have a TV room, reading room, sports amenities like a basketball court, a football field, a badminton court and a volleyball court, and everyday newspapers, journals and magazines.
• Students must note that the sporting courts have floodlights, which enable them to play even at night.
• The IIM Udaipur hostels are maintained with the warden's help and a student-elected representative.
• IIM Udaipur has a designated housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the hostels.
• In addition to basic amenities, IIM Udaipur hostels are equipped with in-campus grocery shops, cafeterias and 24x7 round the clock security including biometric locks.
• The total hostel fee includes mess and medical fees alongside the hostel rent. A one time caution fee of INR 20,000 is taken. The component-wise hostel fee is mentioned in the table below.

Library

• IIM Udaipur has an exceptional library called the Knowledge Resource Centre, which has lakhs of volumes and subscriptions to over thousands of periodicals.
• The IIM Udaipur campus library has a vast collection ranging from e-books, to bound volumes of journals, reports and pamphlets, photocopies and journals (both print and digital), and research support tools.
• An unique feature of the library is that it has an Institutional Repository which collects catalogues containing scholarly output and publications of IIMU. It also contains other academic things such as

• Students would like to know that IIM Udaipur library has a single window search facility by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT).
• The library is generally open 24x7 and can be accessed from anywhere by staff and students using their unique login credentials.
• In addition, the IIM Udaipur Infrastructure includes a fully air-conditioned library with a computer system with high bandwidth.
• The computers are equipped with Wifi and VPN, which play a vital role in the student's and faculty's academic life, research, and teaching.

Green Campus

• The IIM Udaipur infrastructure has been built keeping in mind the current environmental concerns.
• In order to save and minimise the use of energy, a solar power farm has been installed in the campus.
• Furthermore, the IIM Udaipur campus is well equipped for energy, water and waste management.
• For example, rainwater harvesting is one of the key features of the IIMU infrastructure.
• The infrastructure has been built in sharp slopes and deep valleys aiding in the water retention and conservation goals. The waters are also directed from the slopes to store in lakes and other water bodies for use throughout the year.
• IIMU campus has a system of checking dams at strategic locations to create several interlinked lakes.
• It is noteworthy that the entire campus has been designed for a GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) LD 5 Star rating.
• IIM Udaipur also prides itself in its landscaping plan, including desilting/re-silting for soil coverage, contour bunds for soil moisture, increasing organic content of the soil and overall, decreasing the soil erosion.
• Lastly, the IIM Udaipur campus has a zero waste facility, where all the institute’s wastes are utilised as resources using DEWATS (Decentralised Wastewater Treatment Systems), vermicomposting and biogas production.
• The campus also has a rich growth of flora surrounding the perimeter and within.

Classrooms

• The classrooms on the IIM Udaipur campus are all air-conditioned and equipped with modern facilities for interactive learning lessons.
• In addition to teaching spaces, the classrooms are fitted for meetings and conferences.
• Each classroom has a projector system with high end sound systems.
• Furthermore, there are video conferencing facilities with swivel camera technology which helps students maintain an interactive and engaging learning experience.

• IIM Udaipur infrastructure boasts in building one of the best information technology infrastructures of any B-school in India.
• With an internet connection of 1 Gigabit per second (Mbps) with a 100 Mbps backup, there is a 24x7 fast wifi access all throughout the IIM Udaipur campus.
• IIMU constantly monitors the IT Infrastructure to ensure secure upload and download of documents sufficiency.
• IIM Udaipur infrastructure offers local printing facilities for students.
• There is also a team of support for help and support during any problems with IT and tech.

Sports Facilities

• In addition to academics, IIM Udaipur encourages the extracurricular activities of the students including sports for mental and physical wellbeing. Various sporting events and tournaments are organised which includes other IIMs as well.
• The IIM Udaipur campus has a plethora of outdoor sports facilities including courts and fields for games of football, basketball, tennis, badminton, throwball, cricket, and jogging.

Laboratories

• The IIM Udaipur academic block has various laboratories catering to the management topics that the students learn in the classrooms.
• For example, the Consumer Culture Lab researches and tries to understand the consumer behaviour of people all over India and the world.
• In addition, there is the Centre of Digital Enterprise which studies activities related to the digital transformation across programs and academic disciplines.
• The Centre for Supply Chain Management is an integral part of the operations department, facilitating, nurturing and sustaining a favourable environment for thought leadership in all aspects of SCM.
• Students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship have an Incubation Centre on the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur campus with approval from the Department of Science and Technology (Government of India).
• The Centre for Healthcare brings together academics from fields of management, public health, health economics, research active medical professionals, and practitioners to solve fundamental issues in healthcare in low and middle-income countries (LMIC).
• The Centre of Teaching and Learning was established in March 2022 involves transformational learning in teaching and learning processes.

Mess Facilities

• The IIM Udaipur campus mess is responsible for providing all the meals to the resident students.
• The canteen provides nutritious meals to faculty and students including breakfast, lunch, supper, and night-time snacks.
• The MessComm (Mess Committee) overseas the functions of the mess
