IIT Roorkee offers various scholarships and financial aid to deserving students. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college to avail of the scholarships. More details regarding the IIT Roorkee scholarship are mentioned below.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship
A UG student receives a minimum of Rs 1,000 per month for ten months per academic year and a refund of the remaining tuition money under the merit cum means (MCM) scholarship. An M.Sc. student receives a stipend of at least Rs 1,000 per month for ten months of the academic year. It is only available for the duration of the programme. It is only offered up to the fourth year of dual degree programmes. Furthermore, it is worth up to 25% of the class's true strength.

To be eligible for the MCM Scholarship IIT Roorkee, a student must meet the following requirements:
James Thomason Scholarship
A UG student at IIT Roorkee will receive Rs 25000 per month under the James Thomason (JT) scholarship (for 10 months per year). The JT scholarship is awarded for the duration of the programme if the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 8.0 or higher at the end of each academic year.

Inspire She Scheme
IIT Roorkee scholarships for Higher Education (SHE) are available to pursue undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) studies under the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) program, sponsored and managed by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), based on Class 12th standard examination results (top 1%) of respective Boards or within eligible rank in a few competitive examinations such as JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced), NEET (Main), NEET (Advanced), etc.
