The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), founded by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on December 17, 1931, is dedicated to research and education in statistics, natural sciences, and social sciences. The Delhi Centre, established in 1974, houses a library renowned for its extensive collection in mathematics, statistics, economics, operations research, and statistical quality control. Regular updates ensure the latest resources are available, including major Indian and international journals.

Access and Membership

The library serves ISI students, scholars, and staff, as well as academic users from other institutions for reference purposes. Since 1994, it has functioned as the NBHM Regional Library for the northern region, supporting research scholars. Outsiders can access the reading room with valid ID or an introduction letter.
