Placements & Internships :
No stipend or internships from IMA
No campus selection even though they promise campus selection and placements
No placement in my college
A very poor alumni network
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
Any person having PCM more than 45% can enter this college for Bsc nautical science
There are no entrance exams in this college
There are no specific cutoffs at IMA college
Fees & Scholarships :
Per year the course fee is INR 8.5 lakh at IMA
At present no scholarship is given to students and only external scholarships are availed
Loans are needed due to the high fee but are difficult to get in India because there is no entrance exam for joining college.
Academics & Faculty :
Every student has to stay in the hostel and its compulsory, class starts at 9 in the morning till 4:50 pm with 8 periods and lunch break from 1 to 2.
The teaching at IMA is of poor quality and the teachers are new and barely know how to teach.
The head of our department will make the students fail for no reason and nothing can be done.
The standards set by the college is quite low.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
There is only one hostel with almost 650 rooms and the fee is included in the total fee.
The food in the college is poor and even the local residents dont like the food provided here
Classrooms are of good quality and in the lab, most of the equipment won't work properly. No wifi at college and the dining halls are not that good also.
Clubs & Associations :
The only program that takes place here is maritime day and the cultural events related to this.
Ragging is taking place inside the college.
Generally, the life in this college is very bad and I recommend no students to join in this college
