Library
The Global Library aims to play a proactive and important role in the teaching- learning process. A 10,000 square feet area has been provided for the development of the library. The library has a collection of 40,000 print volumes and an array of electronic resources. The print collection includes books, monographs, research reports, law reports, and back volumes of periodicals etc. The library provides, in addition to the professional reading, a good amount of leisure reading and books for soft skills development.
IT Resources
The Internet in JGU is a state-of-the-art facility provided by its hi-tech Wi-Fi network. The entire campus including student housing, faculty housing and the academic block which houses classrooms, the library, faculty offices, administrative offices, the health centre, gym, etc. is wireless enabled.
Student Residence
The University provides single-gender residential accommodation for its students on twin sharing basis in its Halls of Residence with a comfortable, modern, self-contained living environment. Student housing (bedrooms, common rooms etc.) are centrally air conditioned.
Dining
The campus has four dining halls. They are open to students and staff for breakfast, lunch, evening snack and dinner, including on weekends. Vegetarian food with spicy and non-spicy options is served in the dining halls. Non-vegetarian and fast food is available on payment in the other outlets on campus including Cafe Delicious, Juice & More and Gulab Restaurant.
Laundry
Laundry services on the campus include washing, drying and ironing, and dry cleaning (on request). Students, faculty and staff may utilise these centralised services. The facility is well-equipped and is manned by skilled employees.
Healthcare
The University has a 24-hour Health Centre ‘Fortis - Escorts Jindal Health Centre’ with three doctors including a Lady Medical Officer who work in shifts during office hours for outpatient treatment for short term/casual illnesses. A full-time Resident Medical Officer and four nurses are available 24x7 on campus. Medicines are provided as per doctor’s prescription. In addition, an ambulance facility is also available on a 24/7 basis.
Sports
JGU has an extensive sports and fitness facilities. Under the supervision of qualified coaches, students undertake regular practice sessions in order to fulfil their aspirations of wearing university colours. Special emphasis is laid on improving not only the wellness component and lifestyle of students but also on instilling in them the qualities of team cohesion and the spirit of sportsmanship. JGU has courts and lawns for badminton, table tennis, basketball, cricket, volleyball, tennis and football.
Fitness and Health
The University has a full-fledged gymnasium with modern equipment. Other activities, mostly student-driven, include aerobics and yoga.
Transportation
The Travel desk provides help in arranging transportation for students and staff of JGU. On arrival, all new international students are provided free pick-up from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. Students may contact the travel desk for other personal travel arrangements such as taxi, rail/air bookings etc. To facilitate the weekend visits to Delhi, JGU has University bus service till Haiderpur Metro station and back. Students can avail the tickets from JGU front desk by paying Rs.100 for one side journey.
Café and Convenience Store
The campus has a convenience store close to the student hostels where items of daily needs and snacks are available.
Bank Service
JGU Finance department will arrange for opening accounts with HDFC bank. The campus has an HDFC ATM.
Postal and Courier Services
The post office extension counter and courier office are located on the ground floor, near the main reception area.
Campus Security
Safety and security is an important area of concern in all countries. Many organisations both public and private have their own arrangements. To ensure a safe campus for students and staff, JGU has a robust security system. The campus is manned around the clock by well-trained security staff, male and female. Surveillance cameras are placed at strategic spots including access points.
