JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science was established in the year 1964. This is run by JSS Mahavidyapeetha. The college is an autonomous under the University of Mysore. The campus spreads across 7.8 acres. The college has the best team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty. UGC recognized the college as "College with Potential for Excellence". Also, the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, identified the JSS College under the "Star College Scheme".

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs. JSSCACS admission is based on the merit of past academics. This college is aggregated by NAAC with A grade. The college has a Huge library which spreads over a 14400 sq ft. This has a very good collection of books. It contains 65916 of books, 7500 e-books, 10000 e-journals, 67545 printed documents, magazines, daily newspapers etc.

JSS college has an auditorium and seminar halls. This college is also contained an audio/video room. JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science own playground. It encourages indoor and outdoor games. JSS college has a green campus. The college provides various extracurricular activities for the students.

This college supports the students to take part in cultural activities. It has well-equipped laboratories with all modern instruments. JSS College has a canteen which provides hygienic foods and drinks. And this is the place where students can chill in their free hours.
