Facilities:

Auditorium :-

The spacious auditorium is built in a carpet area of 15,000 Sq. feet with an elegant and artistic architecture. The fully air conditioned hall has a raised platform of 1500 Sq. feet to gain the complete attention of the spectators. The auditorium is facilitated with mesmerizing audio system to make the audience spell bound. The effective sound system lends a hand to grasp the valuable ideas of the speakers. The hall is designed with the seating capacity of more than 2000 spectators. The auditorium is well furnished with dining facilities in the ground floor and has the capacity to accommodate 1000 members.

Library :-

The Library of KIT provides support in all areas of Engineering, Management and Science & Humanities, Teaching, Learning and research. It houses about 23,141 books (for varying periods of lending) around 192 hardcopies of national and international journals. Around 90 journals are also available as electronic text. The Audio visual part has around 1000 CDs/Videos. The library is fully computerized with On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The library is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m .on all working days.

Digital Library :-

The library with 20 systems are active in the Digital Library section with Internet access facility. Usage is restricted to educational purpose only. Online accesses to 90 International Journals are arranged under Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) memberships are available in the digital library. (www.ieeexplore.ieee.org) and DELNET facilities are also available.

Hostel :-

Separate and well- resourced hostels for boys and girls, with carpet area of 1,00,000 sq.ft. are available. Individual, double and triple rooms are offered to suit the needs of students. Air conditioned rooms are available for students pursuing the MBA programme.

ATM :-

The college has a round the clock ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) facility both for the students and staff members.

Food Court :-

The College has a spacious Food Court. It provides a variety of wholesome, tasty snacks and food at a reasonable price. The Canteen also provides packaged snacks items, bakery products and soft drinks for the refreshments.

Transport :-

We have an optimum network of bus facility. Our transport department covers almost 70 kilometers from the Campus. We employ specialist drivers; with a minimum of 10 years experience in driving. Every bus is equipped with fire safety equipment's and First aid kit.

Institutional Social Responsibilities (ISR) 

Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of technology is committed positively towards expanding and developing the standard of the schools as it considers an ethical responsibility to provide better Education for all students.  Thiru Pongalur. N.Palanisamy, the founder chairman, KIT being socially responsible contributed generously to Government Higher Secondary Schools in order to pave the way for the betterment of the student community. To promote better education KIT is concerned about the social and economic welfare of Government School students.
