Kurukshetra University was instituted in the year 1956 by the late Dr Rajendra Prasad and it is a NAAC A+ graded and UGC asserted. KUK is located in the holy city of Kurukshetra and its campus is spread over an area of 400 acres. The college provides all the essential facilities for its students.

Library
The Kurukshetra University central library is known as the JLN library. The library includes three blocks which are Ram Prasad Bismil Golden Jubilee Reading Hall, Ranganathan Bhawan, & Savitri Bai Phule Block each having a seating capacity of 1270 people. The library has a well-maintained rich collection of 15328 manuscripts, 393970 books, and 221 journals (Indian and Foreign) covering all the subjects of various disciplines. JLN Library provides open access to its books and periodical collection. The buildings are centrally air-conditioned and with all modern amenities for the reading of the students.
Hostel
The university has 25 Hostels i.e 13 for girls, 11 for boys, and 1 for foreign male understudies on the grounds of the university. The hostel facilities include a gym, ATM, copy offices, PC lab and mess. The hostel provides a comfortable & safe atmosphere to the students on the campus and a home away from their home feel.
Sports facilities
The college puts together all India inter-university tournaments and international tournaments which incorporates boxing, wrestling, cycling, water polo, korfball, netball, roller skating, weight lifting, and a lot more games. College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 13 hostels. Hostel cost is approximately INR 1000 per month. PGs are not very good and their cost is around 3000 to 4000 per month. hostel cost is very good and rs. 30 is for per meal. Quality of classrooms and all are good.
