The Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, [LUVAS] Hisar is the an independent University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The University was established in 2010 in pursuance of the Haryana Act No. 7 of 2010. The college is located in the Hisar district of Haryana. The University is named in memory of Lala Lajpat Rai, a great patriot and one of the freedom fighters of India. The college is approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research [ICAR]. The college has a glorious history and a good past record of great academic excellence and research.

The Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences courses include Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Immunology, Animal Nutrition, etc.TheUniversity imparts education in different branches of Veterinary, Animal science, fishery Science and allied sciences.
