Library 

Madurai Medical College is probably second to Chennai Medical College, Chennai offering a number of Undergraduate and Post graduate courses in various specialities. It has been grown rapidly during the past 20 years. The Central Library in this institution rendering services to undergraduate and postgraduates. The library follows open access system. There is a separate study hall for under graduates, Air conditioned study hall for postgraduates and a separate air-conditioned study hall for professors/ Faculties. Library is blessed with several crores worth reading materials, which are meant not only for present student community but also for future generation. The library is under the control of library committee nominated by the Dean, from the teaching staff of the college and the Dean is the President of Library Committee. 

Present Status of the Library: 

About 40000 books are available at various specialities more 25 international journals and 40 national journals are purchased every year. 

Working hours of the library is from 8.30 am to 8.30pm on all working days and 8.30am to 1.30 pm on all Sundays and 2nd Saturdays . 

Xerox facility provided to the students at nominal rate. Browsing Centre in the Library function from 10 A.M to 6 P.M and all working days to fulfil the need of the teaching & Non teaching faculty and students at nominal rate. 

Hostel
 
For Under Graduate Students: 

• Separate Hostels are available for Boys and Girls in the Campus itself. 
• Well established Mess which provides Vegetarian and Non - Vegetarian food. 
• Residence Wardens are housed in the campus itself.

 For House Surgeons: 

• Separate Hostel facility for Boys and Girs are available at Govt. Rajaji Hospital Campus itself. 
• Mess facility is also available.

For Post Graduate Students : 

• For students those who are studying Post Graduate Courses are having separate Hostel Facility , in front of Madurai Medical College campus. 
• Mess Facility available

Sports & Games

The College campus has large playground for Football , Hockey , Basket Ball , Athletics .
Separate Illuminated Volley Ball , Basket Ball Court are available.
Indoor game courts are also available.
Separate Gym is also available.
Every year Annual Sports meet are conducted and Prizes are awarded.
