Manipal University Jaipur offers numerous opportunities to its students when it comes to scholarships and education loans. The Manipal University Jaipur scholarship is offered based on the marks obtained in the concerned qualifying exam as well as the type of program the student is studying. Scholarships worth 3+ crores and 14+ lakhs are offered to students by Manipal University. More details regarding the Manipal University Jaipur scholarships are mentioned below. 

MUJ Scholarships for Under-Graduate Students

  1. TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships

According to the availability of student applications at the time of online common counselling, the TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships (two scholarships in each discipline of engineering) will be given out. The Manipal Entrance Test's top 5000 scorers are eligible for this award (MET). Details about the scholarship are provided below.

  • 100% tuition fee waiver on annual tuition fee to the topper
  • 50% tuition fee waiver on annual tuition fee to the second topper

Note

  • Students applying for these scholarships are required to submit copies of their parent's (both mother and father) ITR / income proof issued by competent Govt. authority (in case of non-filing of ITR) of the last two financial years. These requisite documents are to be submitted every year.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above, every academic year, separately, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.
  1. Sir M Visvesvaraya Scholarship

Sir M Visvesvaraya Scholarship will be awarded in 14 core branches of engineering except the branches falling under the School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Information Technology and School of Computer and Communication Engineering as per the following criteria: 

  • 10 Scholarships per branch with a 30% fee waiver over annual tuition fees for the students securing aggregate % marks in the range of 80- 89.99 % in 12th standard.
  • 5 Scholarships per branch with a 50% fee waiver over annual tuition fees for the students securing aggregate % marks of 90 % and above in 12th standard (If more people satisfy the criteria, it will be on FCFS). 
  1. Scholarships for Lateral Entry (B.Tech)

Scholarships will be offered based on the arrival of student applications to the students who take admission under the Lateral Entry (B Tech) category as per the criteria given below.

  • One scholarship in each engineering stream, amounting to 25% of the annual tuition fee, is to be granted based on merit, provided the student has aggregate marks of 90% or above/ CGPA 9.0 or above in the qualifying examination. 
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student is required to maintain a CGPA of 9.0 or above every academic year, separately, failing which, the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.
  1. TMA Pai Merit Scholarships

Scholarships will be offered to all UG programs with 3 scholarships to be awarded to the students on a merit basis having more than 80% aggregate marks in the 12th standard as per the criteria below: 

  • One Scholarship in each stream of engineering and one in each non-engineering program, with a 100% waiver on annual tuition fee, will be given to the student with the highest marks, in the qualifying exam.
  • One Scholarship in each stream of engineering and one in each non-engineering program, with a 50% waiver on the annual tuition fee, will be given to the student with the second-highest marks in the qualifying exam.
  • One Scholarship in each stream of engineering and one in each non-engineering program, with a 25% waiver on the annual tuition fee, will be given to the student with the third-highest marks in the qualifying exam.
  1. Rajasthan Merit Scholarships

One Scholarship in each stream of engineering and one in each non-engineering program (All the Hons programs and pass programs of the same domain would be considered as a single entity for scholarship, ex. B Com (Hons) and B Com would be considered as a single entity), will be given to the students from Rajasthan domicile, with the highest aggregate marks over 80% in 10+2 or equivalent qualifying exam.

To be eligible, the student should have passed his/her 10th and 10+2 exams from a school in Rajasthan. The student has to submit a domicile (issued by the competent government authority) to avail of this scholarship.

  • Highest aggregate percentage marks more in 10+2 or equivalent qualifying exam above 80%. 
  • To be eligible, the student should have passed his/her 10th and 10+2 exams from a school in Rajasthan.
  • The maximum scholarship given to each student will not exceed the annual tuition fee of the program joined, or Rs. 1 Lakh, whichever is lower.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above every academic year, separately, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.
  1. Scholarships for Local Region Students

For the benefit of students from nearby villages Dehmi Kalan, Thikaria, Sanjharia, Bagru and Dehmi Khurd and to promote education amongst them 2 scholarships are given for each village (Dehmi Kalan, Thikaria, Sanjharia, Bagru and Dehmi Khurd) for each Non-Engineering Departmental Programme. (All the Hons programs and pass programs of the same domain would be considered as a single entity for scholarship and preference in admissions, ex. B.Com (Hons) and B.Com would be considered as a single entity).

  • The scholarship would be awarded on a merit basis in the course.
  • The candidate has to submit domicile (issued by the competent government authority) and other documents along with the application.
  • To continue to get the Manipal University Jaipur scholarship, the student should pass every year without any backlogs, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.
  1. Financial Assistance for Sibling(s)

For the benefit of students from nearby villages, the scholarship will be awarded as per the following criteria:

  • 2 Scholarships per program will be granted on a merit basis i.e. based on the highest aggregate percentage marks in 12th.
  • Candidate must belong to the list of following nearby villages: Dehmi Kalan, Thikaria, Sanjharia, Begas and Dehmi Khurd. 
  • For each Non-Engineering Departmental Program. (All the Hons programs and pass programs of the same domain would be considered as a single entity for scholarship and preference in admissions, ex. B Com (Hons) and B Com would be considered as a single entity).
  • A scholarship amounting to 50% of the annual tuition fee is granted subject to scholarship norms.
  • The candidate must submit a domicile (issued by the competent government authority) and other documents along with the application to prove his domicile to these five villages.
  1. Scholarship for BBA (Hospitality & Tourism) students

Scholarship for 30% of students, out of the total admitted students with eligibility criteria of 25% scholarship would be awarded to the students with 75% marks in 12th std.

  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year, separately, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.
  • 25% fee waiver over the annual tuition fees for the students having marks higher than 75% in aggregate in 12th Standard.
  • Students who qualify for admission are also eligible for the other scholarships offered by the university, however, they would be awarded only one scholarship.

MUJ Scholarships for Post-Graduate Students 

Tuition Fee Concession for Manipal University Jaipur Graduates

To promote and support Manipal University Jaipur graduates taking admissions in the PG program in Manipal University Jaipur itself, a fee concession is offered as per the details given under.

Scholarship/ Preference in Admissions for Local Region Students (PG Program) 

The Manipal University Jaipur scholarship is provided to students from nearby villages under the following program:

Admissions under the Manipal University Jaipur scholarship would be given up to two seats in each program as mentioned above based on the arrival of students’ applications and the availability of seats. A scholarship amounting to 50% of the annual tuition fee is granted subject to scholarship norms. To continue the scholarship, a student must maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in each academic year separately. 

MUJ Merit Scholarships for PG Students

For M.Tech students

  • Under the Endowment Fund Scheme Scholarships of INR 15,000 per month are provided to GATE qualified students.
  • Students enrolled with a qualifying exam percentage from 60% to 70% will be awarded a scholarship amount of INR 5,000/ Month for 10 months. 
  • Students enrolled with a qualifying exam percentage of 70% and above will be awarded a scholarship amount of INR 10,000/ Month for 10 months.
  • Students enrolled with a qualifying exam percentage from 60% to 70% will be awarded a scholarship amount of INR 5000/ Month for 10 months.
  • The enrolled students’ services will be utilized in teaching learning aspects and forms against scholarships.

    • (I) For MA -J&MC (II) M.Com - Financial Analysis (III) M.Sc – taking all the specializations as a single entity (IV) M.Arch – Landscape (V) MCA (VI) LLM – taking all the specializations as a single entity.
  • Three scholarships in each Program will be given to the students with the highest aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. The number and extent of scholarships are as follows:

The highest possible scholarship offered to an individual student can be 45% for Manipal University Jaipur engineering applicants with a 90+ percentile in CAT or a 700+ score in GMAT. 

MUJ Scholarships for both UG and PG Students

Financial aid will be given to pre-final and final-year students to present R&D work/ papers at seminars/ conferences of repute, as per the conditions mentioned below.

  1. Scholarships for Sports Persons

Scholarships will be given to students with a sports background having more than 45% aggregate marks in 12th standard as per the following criteria:

Scholarships for students of Higher Semesters

  • 20% fee waiver on annual tuition fees subjective to the merit list.
  • One Manipal University Jaipur scholarship to the topper students of each stream of engineering and nonengineering program in higher semesters will be given.

3. Scholarship for “Differently- abled” Students

Scholarships are available for differently-abled students whose parent's income is less than Rs.5 lakhs per annum. The amount and quantum of the scholarship shall be as follows.

  •  Manipal University Jaipur students applying for these scholarships are required to submit copies of their parent's (both mother and father) ITR / income proof issued by competent Govt. authority (in case of non-filing of ITR) of the last two financial years.   • The student has to submit the certificate of handicap issued by the competent state / national government hospital/board (as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India). The certificate has to be produced every year during the term of the scholarship.
  • To continue to get the Manipal University Jaipur scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year, separately, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.

4. Scholarships forwards of Martyrs of Defence Personnel/ Para Military Forces

Manipal University Jaipur salutes Martyrs of defence personnel/ paramilitary forces. A 20% fee waiver is offered to the wards of martyrs of defence and paramilitary personnel.

  • The student has to submit the certificate of martyrdom issued by the competent state/ national government authority.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year, separately, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.
  • Scholarships for the wards of Single Mothers & Orphan Children

5. Scholarships for the wards of Single Mother

One scholarship in each engineering stream and one in each non-engineering program with a 20% fee- waiver, will be given to students whose mother’s income is less than Rs. 5 lakhs per annum.

  • The student has to submit the certificate of single mother issued by the competent state/ national government authority.
  • Students applying for these scholarships are required to submit a copy of their mother’s ITR/ income proof issued by a competent Govt. authority (in case of non-filing of ITR) of the last two financial years. These requisite documents are to be submitted every year.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year, separately, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.

6. Scholarships for the Orphan student

A 20% fee waiver will be given to such students.

  • The student has to submit the certificate issued by the state/ national authority as per the guidelines of the Women Development & Child Welfare department confirming the orphan status and an affidavit by the applicant duly notarized and given on a bond paper stating that the person is an orphan/destitute.
  • To continue to get the Manipal University Jaipur scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year, separately, failing which the scholarship for the next academic year would be withdrawn.
