MATS Law School, Raipur was established in 2009-2010 as a part of MATS University. This institute strives to inculcate new ideas and apply them in their action. MATS Law School Courses are divided into academic sessions as Odd and Even semesters. This institute has mandated one international /global seminar in each odd semester. In this seminar, teams from India and abroad are invited to contest.

Moreover, this institute has signed MoU with CLAT exam which allows the students writing this exam have the liberty to choose MATS Law School as one of the options for admission. The curriculum of this institute is based on a multidisciplinary body of scientific knowledge and social science. This institute also has a serious culture of research.

Furthermore, the evaluation method at this institute includes critical reasoning by encouraging essential analytical, writing and communication skills. Also, the pedagogic methods necessary for improving quality includes  Moot Court Exercises, Project Papers, Project and Subject viva, along with an end-semester examination.
