Established in 2004, Nadgir Institute of Engineering & Technology has been imparting quality technical education to the students from Karnataka and all over India. It is a part of Nadgir Education Society, Bangalore. S.M.M. Nadgir with the help of a few other educationalists established Nadgir Education Society in the year 1976. The object of the Society was to fulfill the higher education needs of the state of Karnataka.

Nadgir Institute of Engineering & Technology, Bangalore is a private, unaided, self-financed minority Institution, recognized by the Government of Karnataka, AICTE - New Delhi, and has the affiliation from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The Institute provides education in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The faculty is well equipped to impart technical knowledge prescribed by the University effectively.

The infrastructure facilities include a library, laboratories, workshop facilities in a campus amidst greenery. The institution aims to meet the requirements of today’s technological world with the education provided to the students. Students are made to be technically competent, confident, with good soft skills, leadership qualities and a sense of team spirit. The students also get to learn beyond academia, through extracurricular activities including sports and cultural activities.

Annual Nadgir-Spo-Fest, an intercollegiate sports festival is held every year. Football, Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, and Throwball for men and women are held in this reputed fest. NCC and NSS are also available in the Institute for students to take part in.

Course	Eligibility
BE	Candidate should have completed two-year pre-university / 10+2 in CBSE / ICSE with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They should have 45% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Computer Science.
BE [Lateral Entry]	Students who have completed 3 years Diploma can apply. B.Sc graduates who have scored 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Physics, Chemistry, Electronics / Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science are also eligible.

Students from outside Bangalore are eligible to avail hostel facilities.
The Nadgir Institute of Engineering and Technology hostel operates on a no-profit-no-loss basis, which is a system of making no profit from the hostel while maintaining a no loss status.
Hostels for boys and girls are separate in buildings that are well maintained.
Every student in the hostel will be given a cot, a chair, and a table.
Students have to make an application separately to join the hostel.
