Nalanda Open University is spread over 40 acres. NOU Patna has a well-equipped and fully automated modern office of approximately 60,000 sq. feet, which houses an examination centre for about 1000 students, a state-of-the-art library with about 50,000 titles, and a computer laboratory with about 300 IBM Pentium-4 computers. Further details regarding the NOU infrastructure are listed below.

Classrooms: Well-organised and furnished classrooms with digital boards to ensure a student must have a better learning experience.

Library: NOU has developed a modern and scientific library of about 55,000 titles. Some of the books on subjects like Archaeology, History, Religion, Literature, Gandhian thought, Anthropology, Geography, Political Science and Computer Applications are available in the library. The NOU Patna library is equipped with a big-size plasma TV screen and DVD to display education-related audiovisuals and computerised projection of other teaching materials.
