Directorate of Distance Education Lalit Narayan Mithila University was established in the year 1998 by the order of vice memo no –P/D 54-139/98 at 07/02/98 the letter issued by the Development Officer, it is located in  Kameshwara Nagar, Darbhanga, Bihar. The Directorate offers 21 programs/courses through distance mode. At present nearly 65000 students of higher education are enrolled in the ODL system of DDE.

 DDELMNU admissions are based on merit. At present, 65000 students have been admitted to DDELMNU.

DDELMNU Infrastructure Facility:

The LNMU distance education institutes are well connected to the important parts of Darbhanga through road. The various infrastructure facilities are given below:

• The department’s infrastructure is well furnished with all modern facilities.
• There are 4 hostels – Bagmati, Kosi, and Gandak for men, and Archana for women in the University Campus.
• All the classrooms of the college are well furnished with all modern facilities.
• The University Library has two wings: Darbhanga Raj Library Wing christened as Maharajadhiraja Kameshwara Singh Library and New Collection Wing. The Raj Library Wing contains more than 70,000 volumes of books in English and Sanskrit besides thousands in French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Latin, Greek, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Bengali, and Hindi. The New Collection Wing has 1.15 lakh volumes. Thus the total collection is 1.85 lakh. Much of this collection is of immense antique value having been published in 1672, 1683, 1688, 1744.
• Sports is promoted as a co-curricular activity in the University to inculcate sportsman spirit among students and to activate national integration among all concerned. The Sports Committee, a statutory body, acts as the nodal administrative agency to manage, develop and organize sports in the university.

What are the documents required for meeting the eligibility Criterion?

Documents that you required to meet eligibility criteria is  Proof of Academic Qualification which is Attested/ notarized photocopies of the last qualifying exam and statement of marks (degree certificate/mark sheet) and Attested photocopy of the marriage certificate (if applicable) indicating a change in name.

Can we get the refund in case of withdrawal from the program?

Yes,
100% fees will be refunded if Student gives notice of withdrawing from the program in 15 Days or more before the formally-notified last date of admission 
90% fees will be refunded if Student gives notice of withdrawing from the program in Less than 15 Days before the formally-notified last date of admission 
80% fees will be refunded if Student gives notice of withdrawing from the program in 15 Days or less after the formally-notified last date of admission 
50% fees will be refunded if Student gives notice of withdrawing from the program in 30 Days or less, but more than 15 days, after formally-notified last date of admission 
0% fees will be refunded if Student gives notice of withdrawing from the program in More than 30 Days after formally-notified last date of admission
