National Fire Service College, an autonomous body was incorporated so as to open up a training institute for fire service in-country in 1956 in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Later, the college address was shifted to Nagpur, Maharashtra. The college provides training to fire workforce & shares proficiency throughout the world. The college was spacious enough and so some alterations to provide adequacy training with space to perform drills, training & demonstrations under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
Initially, NFSC was started with one course later with the growth of technology many professional courses were introduced. In addition to that, on successful completion of the diploma, the students were given with certificate and advanced diploma programs which got recognition from Central Government, State Government & Public Sectors. Undergraduate course B.E/B. Tech was introduced in the year 1978.
The guidelines for admissions are framed by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University [RTMNU]. Admission will be on the basis of the All India Rank JEE Main Exam which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE].
