National Fire Service College Facilities:

Library:

The college library facilitates its students with essential study materials. The library houses more than 10,000 books including technical books, it contains national and international journals from many organizations, research papers, and project reports. NFSC, Nagpur library is subscribed to a large number of journals and magazines relating to fire engineering. The library keeps updates about current trends and latest developmental activates from countries like the USA and UK also from many premier institutions like NFPA, IFE, BIS and LPA from India. 

Laboratories:

The laboratories of National Fire Service College have well-qualified and dedicated faculties. The laboratories enable students of the college also perform various experiments related to Fire Prevention and Fire Protection in which they study Chemical Extinguishers, Foam Compounds and Dry-Powders and their testing as per the existing Indian Standard Specifications.

Wireless and Communication Laboratories:

The Wireless and Communication laboratory is equipped with Radio Receivers, Instruments such as static and Mobile Radios, Wakie Talkie sets, Chargers, wave Analyzers and all other communication equipment that are used by the Fire Officers for handling in the fire field. NFSC lab is considered a static station and a lot of tactical exercises are conducted using the equipment installed in the Mobile Control Van.

Paramedics Laboratory:

The laboratory enables theoretical and hands-on training to the students by an eminent expert in the areas like Basic Anatomy, First Aid, Burn Injuries, Study of Disinfections, Stretcher Drill, Paramedical Care [Animal Bites, Injuries, Wounds, Fractures, and Unconsciousness ], Role of Fire Officers in Nuclear, Chemical & Biological Disasters, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Training. The NFSC students also visit the hospitals under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer of the college to enable them to tackle any medical emergency.

Workshop:

National Fire Service College organizes various workshops regularly. The college has a workshop equipped with I.C. Engine, Gear Transmission, Primers, Cut model Pumps, and other equipment. The workshop also has various machinery and tools. Tools required for the maintenance and repair work of appliances and equipment of the college. The workshop also has indigenous refilling for its Breathing Apparatus, Cylinders. The trainees are exposed to various Automobile and Electrical equipment is available with this workshop. 

Films and Videos

The students of NFSC are exposed to various live fire fighting activates through its over 130 instructional films on fire fighting and fire prevention and fire protection films and videos. Overhead projectors/Side Projectors are used in classrooms for this purpose and also to show the transparencies/slides to the students.

Games and Sports:

NFSC campus provides facilities for various sports. Indoor sports like carom, badminton, chess, and others. Ample space is available for outdoor sports like Cricket, Football, Basketball, and Volleyball in the Civil Lines Campus.

Computer Centre:

National Fire Service College, Nagpur has a computer center with 20MbPs BSNL Lease Line Internet Facility. NFSC computer center is Wi-Fi enabled.

  • The Candidate should be Indian National and should have passed the 10+2 examination of any State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject and Secured minimum 50% marks, minimum 45% marks, in case of SC/ST/OBC categories in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject
  • The Candidate must have obtained All India Rank in JEE Main given by CBSE. 

National Fire Service College Admissions:

Admission Rules framed by the RTM, Nagpur University Course will apply to the National Fire Service College, Nagpur for all purposes. The admission made by NFSC is subject to the approval by the RTM Nagpur University and subject to being found eligible by the university. The applicant should register online through the official website as a first step of the admission process. All the admission will be based on the Merit of all eligible candidates will be based on All India Rank in the JEE (Main) examination allotment by CBSE, which is given based on the scores in JEE Main and the percentile scores of the candidate in the respective Board of education.

National Fire Service College Hostel Details:

The institute provides accommodation facilities to its students. National Fire Service College infrastructure facilitates the students with essentials. A separate hostel for boys and girls are available in the college campus. Boys hostel can accommodate 160 students and girls hostel can accommodate 60 students. The hostel provides around the clock security. The warden will look after the student's needs.
